Merging New And Old For Luxury Bushey Homes

The latest style of layout and specification is found in sympathetically designed apartment blocks at Royal Connaught Park...

A luxurious development in Bushey, Hertfordshire, is offering a range of apartments set in new build blocks whose design is inspired by the heritage architecture of the original site buildings.

Set within the expansive private landscaped grounds of Royal Connaught Park, an Edwardian era former Masonic School for Boys, is The Nova Collection, an impressive assemblage of new build blocks offering apartments ranging in price from £610,000 to £1.425 million.

The five houses of The Nova Collection have been externally designed using weathered red brick to blend seamlessly with the Gothic architecture of the original buildings, now converted into modernised period apartments.

House provides some of the largest homes available at the scheme, with the mixture of two- and three-bedroom ground floor and duplex apartments proving popular with downsizers. Ranging in size from 1,066 sq ft to 2,368 sq ft, the well-proportioned interiors are configured to meet modern lifestyle needs, whilst each one benefits from private outside space in the form of a patio, balcony or terrace.

Royal Connaught ParkThe largest block is Lancaster House, consisting of 33 two-, three- and four-bedroom apartments. Taking in uninterrupted views of the grounds and surrounding countryside, the majority of homes include balconies and terraces or access to a private garden. One of the most impressive properties available in The Nova Collection is situated within Lancaster House – a 2,422-sq-ft- three-bedroom duplex, priced at £1.425million, complete with two large balconies and considerable open-plan living spaces.

Only one unit remains at Oxford House, a boutique building comprising four two-bedroom apartments, with the final 872 sq ft balcony home available at £610,000.

Yale House is a splendid selection of sizeable two- and three-bedroom apartments and duplexes ranging in size from 1,055 sq ft to 2,056 sq ft, with a selection including private terraces or balconies.

Currently, only five apartments remain at Harvard House where the majority of homes are two-bedroom duplexes, as well as a selection of one- and two-bedroom apartments, providing accommodation sized between 1,173 sq ft to 1,593 sq ft.

Royal Connaught ParkCommenting on the sales progress at Royal Connaught Park, Caroline Comer, sales & marketing director at Comer Homes, said: “The Nova Collection at Royal Connaught Park is proving to be one of our most popular phases to date, with purchasers attracted by the ability to own a modern home, which is set within such expansive and historic grounds.

“The size of the apartments and access to private outside space have also proved a huge draw for buyers, with quite a few downsizers finding the switch from a large family home almost seamless. The location is also a big factor offering short travel times into central London, whilst also being surrounded by vast countryside and woodland – it’s the best of both worlds.”

Providing an idyllic setting, residents at Royal Connaught Park enjoy walks through the grounds, whilst there is also a wealth of onsite residents’ only amenities. Occupying one of the striking former school buildings is a dedicated Health & Fitness Centre, which includes a gymnasium, spa facilities complete with a 20m heated swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna & steam rooms and a magnificent dining hall. There are also two full-sized outdoor tennis courts.
