The Quay To City Living For Glasgow Buyer

Helen ChristieWhen Jane Taylor decided to make her next move, she soon discovered Cala Homes (West) Prince’s Quay development and knew instantly that it was the perfect place for her.
Having originally hailed from Aviemore in the Highlands, Jane moved to the city and lived in various parts of Glasgow however was looking to find a city centre location that met all her needs.
Jane, a planning manager, says: “I reserved my property in the summer of 2020 and the whole process took almost exactly a year as I moved into my new home on 30 July 2021. The entire Cala team at Prince’s Quay were supportive and helpful the whole way, nothing was ever a problem for them, it made my journey enjoyable.”
She purchased a one-bedroom apartment at the vibrant city centre development located at Pacific Quay – its location was the main selling point for Jane.
Jane continues: “I opted for the Bell house type as it’s a fantastic size for a one-bedroom apartment, not to mention the fabulous location which really sold it for me. I have everything on my doorstep and having lived in other locations in Glasgow such as the west end, this was really important to me. It has perfect access to all the areas I love like the city centre and Finnieston and I’m not far from the southside or west end either.
“The overall quality of the finishings on the apartment are excellent too. I love that my apartment is so modern, and the solar panels are a great benefit, having them means that my bills are lower too which is brilliant. My favourite part of my new home is the huge windows which look out to Festival Park, it is always so bright which I love.”

The Bell is a stylish one-bedroom apartment which features a spacious open-plan kitchen, dining and living area, perfect for entertaining friends and family. The bedroom is generously proportioned with sleek fitted wardrobes whilst a designer bathroom and multiple storage spaces complete the home.
Jane adds: “Location was really key for me as I was looking for somewhere in the city centre but also had lots of space and greenery surrounding it. The cycle and walking paths at the development to the city centre and beyond make it so easy to travel around the city.
“I also love living by the river and the Hydro and Finnieston is only a five to ten-minute walk – the location is the best place I’ve lived in Glasgow, it’s in a prime position for the city centre, west end and south side with excellent transport links right outside also.”
Prince’s Quay is currently in its second phase after a sell-out success of its first release, with bespoke two-bedroom apartments currently available and three-bedroom duplex apartments and four-bedroom townhouses launching later this year.
Brand new to the development, the ground-floor Cameron features a spacious open-plan kitchen and dining area, two stylish bedrooms, one with an en-suite, and a family bathroom.
Prices at Prince’s Quay start at £294,995 for a two-bedroom apartment.
