Open Day Event For Shared Ownership In Worcester
New homes provider Bromford is hosting an Open Day event on Saturday 22 July at the Hayfield Grove development in Hallow near Worcester.
The event takes place from 11.00am until 4.00pm to provide an insight into the new homes and learn more about the merits of Shared Ownership. Hayfield Grove offers a collection of two- and three-bedroom homes, which could be ideal for first-time buyers, families, and those wishing to downsize.
Shared Ownership is a government-backed scheme which gives first-time buyers and those who do not currently own a property the chance to secure a new build home with Bromford. Homebuyers pay a mortgage on the share they own and pay rent on the remaining share, meaning only a smaller deposit is required.
Built specifically to help meet the needs of local people, priority at Hayfield Grove will be given to applicants who have a connection to the Malvern Hills District Council. Those who have lived or been employed within the district for two to five years, or those who have family connections who have lived in the area for at least three years, will be given priority.
One of the homes now available is ‘The Cavendish’, priced from £124,000 with a 40% share value (based on a full market value of £310,000). This two-bedroom house is a great space for growing families to blossom and for first-time buyers get onto the property ladder. It has an open-plan kitchen/diner leading through to a modern lounge with plenty of natural light, aided by the French doors which lead the turfed private rear garden. Also downstairs is a generously sized cloakroom and plenty of storage space underneath the stairs. Upstairs are two sizeable double bedrooms, with more storage space and finally, a family bathroom.
Catherine Jarrett, director of sales and marketing at Bromford, said: “We’re incredibly proud of the Shared Ownership homes we have on offer here at Hayfield Grove, which have been built in a fantastic area. Hayfield Grove is a wonderful development, with each home being thoughtfully designed with modern living in mind. There is something for everyone, with house types that appeal to a variety of different home seekers.
Hayfield Grove is three miles north-west of Worcester and less than 10 miles from the spa town of Droitwich, offering a strong selection of places to visit ensuring there are a plethora of activities to pursue. Also nearby is the Malvern Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, allowing Hayfield Grove residents a peaceful local retreat in the outdoors and the opportunities to take in some stunning views, without being too far away from a large town or city.
