Shared Ownership Homes Released In Redditch
Housing association Bromford has released a collection of high-quality two-bedroom Shared Ownership apartments at its new Mount Gate development, located off Ipsley Street in Redditch.
Shared Ownership gives first-time buyers and those who do not currently own a property the opportunity to secure a new build home. They pay a mortgage on the share they own, and pay rent on the remaining share, meaning only a smaller deposit is required. Purchasers can increase their share during their time in the property.
Priced at £145,000, the ‘Townsend’ apartments feature an open-plan kitchen/diner with living space, two double bedrooms, a well-appointed bathroom and allocated parking spaces. A 40% share costs £58,000 and to mark the release of the first homes, Bromford will contribute £500 towards legal fees on selected properties if reserved on or before Tuesday 31 August.
Sales manager at Bromford, Claire Richardson, said: “We are delighted to have released these excellent apartments for sale, which the team at Bromford have carefully designed to reflect the needs of local house-hunters, from first-time buyers to downsizers.
“Our legal fees deal also serves as a wonderful opportunity for those looking to make a quick reservation on an apartment with great charm.
“The local area itself benefits from excellent travel links, such as Redditch railway station which is just over a five-minute drive away, and has train links enabling passengers to reach Birmingham in just 40 minutes and London in just 90 minutes. A great selection of amenities also surround the area, and Kingfisher shopping centre is just one and a half miles away, offering more than 140 retail stores.
“With just a small collection of nine apartments available, we would encourage home-seekers who are looking for an apartment in the area to get in touch with our sales team, to ensure any opportunities of securing a new home at this wonderful development are not missed.”
