New Show Home At Historic Development In Slough
Demonstrating the lifestyle on offer at the iconic Horlicks Factory, Berkeley has opened its first show home within the development.
Ben Ivey, sales and marketing director, Berkeley Homes (Oxford & Chiltern), comments: “We are thrilled to have reached such a significant milestone in the transformation of the iconic Horlicks Factory. Opening our first show home enables us to showcase the quality of the homes we are creating within this important building.”
The new homes at Horlicks Quarter are appealing to both local residents as well as London leavers. New research from Compare My Move has identified Slough in the top 10 locations appealing to Londoners looking to move away from the capital.

Located just a seven minute walk from Slough Station and the new Elizabeth Line, the refurbished Horlicks Factory offers residents a unique living proposition. Externally, the red brick facade has been restored to its former glory, and internally the building has been redesigned to feature a large glass atrium which floods the building with light. Dual aspect apartments on each floor open onto feature floating walkways that overlook the beautiful gardens below. A glass elevator provides residents with views across the atrium, as they travel up to the magnificent roof garden to enjoy the panoramic views towards Windsor Castle.

An impressive range of residents’ facilities is located within the Horlicks Factory and is due to open in July. These include a games room, concierge, gym, cinema room and dining room. Later this year will also see the opening of a well-appointed co-working space in the Clocktower and the rooftop garden. An on-site café and day nursery are also planned, with a central piazza for open-air community activities.
The uniquely styled apartments have been carefully crafted with large feature windows to create light-filled, stylish interiors featuring contemporary and industrial detailing, inspired by the heritage of the Factory. Individually designed contemporary kitchens feature stone worktops, brick effect tiled splashbacks and integrated Bosch appliances. While hotel style bathrooms offer a blend of modern and traditional details, with feature brick effect tiles, white gloss tiles and quality vanity units.

The Horlicks Factory sits amid green landscaped gardens, water features and tranquil gardens planted to provide year round colour, all just a few minutes from the town centre and national and international transport connections. An ideal base for living and working, whether from home, locally or in the capital. It is also close to excellent schools, colleges and universities.
Studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments are available from £280,000, with some ready to move into this summer, and available to reserve with just a 5% deposit.
