Experienced Movers Praise Their Latest Home’s Builder

A couple in Uttoxeter have praised housebuilder Bellway for helping them to move into their new home during the lockdown.

Mary MacLaren and her husband David were previously living in Northamptonshire, but after David secured a new job with JCB Golf and Country Club in Uttoxeter, Staffordshire, the pair had to relocate.

With the help of the team at Bellway, the couple managed to move into a four-bedroom ‘Magnolia’ property at Bramshall Green, off Bramshall Road, at the beginning of April, giving them the chance to spend the lockdown settling into their new home.

Mary, who runs her own company offering golf tours, said: “When we were looking at new homes, the location was the most important thing. We were not able to stay in Northamptonshire as David’s commute would have been unrealistic, and the homes at Bramshall Green were in a very ideal location, so it made perfect sense.

“The team at Bellway were fantastic. We needed to move quickly, but this was just after the government had put restrictions on the moving process, so we were a little wary of how it was all going to go. Despite that, the whole process went smoothly – we couldn’t fault it!

“The sales advisor, Helen, was really supportive throughout the sale, and the site managers, Paul and James, were extremely helpful on moving day. They also kept in touch with us after we moved in to make sure everything went as planned.

“We’re no strangers to buying homes – as a couple, we’ve moved about 11 times – but we’ve had a great experience with Bellway, and we would definitely recommend them to a friend. We are really pleased with the house itself, and especially like the family room, which leads out onto the garden.

“The location of the development is ideal for us, as it is close to the town but not actually in it. Although we are new to the area, the parts of Uttoxeter we’ve had the chance to explore are lovely and the old town is very pretty. We’re looking forward to finding out more about the area!”
