Fast Progress At Aberdeen Development

Posted 13 July 2021 by Keith Osborne

Barratt Homes and David Wilson Homes have both released new homes at their shared Countesswells scheme...

Barratt Developments, under its Barratt Homes and David Wilson Homes brands, is progressing well at Countesswells, to the west of Aberdeen.

With the popular suburbs of Cults and Kingswells nearby, and being well-connected to the city centre, Countesswells has proven popular with an array of buyers, thanks to its range of homes, surrounding countryside and the plans for future schools, parks, commercial, medical and retail amenities on the doorstep.

For Barratt Homes, its part of the development is now 80% sold but there has been a recent release of more houses. On Plot 68 is the ‘Craigend’ house type, a semi-detached home with private driveway. There’s a dedicated Lounge at the front of the property, while at the rear is an open-plan kitchen/dining/family room with access to the rear garden and the bonus of separate utility space and downstairs WC. All three bedrooms are doubles and there’s an en suite to bedroom one. A family bathroom completes the layout. This home starts at £293,995.

Also just released is the ‘Balmoral’ on Plot 65 at £419,995. It’s a spacious, four-bedroom, double-fronted detached house. Off the hallway to one side is a lounge, off the other a dedicated study – a ‘must have’ for many house-hunters these days. Past the under-stairs storage an a cloakroom is the open-plan kitchen/dining/family room across the full width of the property. There’s plenty of glazing, including French doors to the west-facing garden. A utility room has its own door to the garden. The main bedroom has an en suite shower room and the three other double bedrooms share a family bathroom. The home is completed with a single detached garage.

‘Falkland’‘Falkland’ house type

David Wilson Homes will soon be opening a show home at Countesswells and currently offers some newly released home together with some special deals on others. The four-bedroom ‘Falkland’ on Plot 5 has just been reduced in price from £419,995 to £399,995 and comes with the offer of £13,349 LBTT paid, free flooring and availability through Part Exchange. This is a generously sized detached home with integral single garage and a south-facing garden. At the front of the home is a lounge and at the rear, the hub of the home with open-plan kitchen/dining/family room which comes with a glazed garden room/conservatory space. There’s also a utility space and downstairs cloakroom. All four bedrooms are spacious doubles, with en suite shower rooms to two of them. The others share a family bathroom.

Those looking for a three-bedroom home could look next door on Plot 4. This detached property also comes with free flooring and the choice of Part Exchange Xtra or £5,399 LBTT paid. The ‘Duart’ has an integral garage, an open-plan kitchem/dining room, separate lounge, a utility room and downstairs WC, while on the first floor are the bathroom and three spacious double bedrooms. The particularly large double bedroom has a large built-in storage cupboard and an en suite shower room. This home is priced from £315,995.
