Family Make Their Dream Move To Barry Waterfront

After deciding to move closer to the sea, Laura Richards and her partner Steven were delighted when their search led them to Taylor Wimpey’s Latitude at The Quays development in Barry.

The couple moved into the stunning four-bedroom ‘Oakham’ house type in December 2019 with their daughter Harper Lily, 5, and their cockapoo called Pepper, and have been enjoying life ever since. 

Laura said: “Our dreams of living by the sea have come true! What’s even better is that our home is right on the waterfront and we have an amazing balcony so we can make the most of the views. Although there are lots of other developers nearby, we went with Taylor Wimpey as their homes had better specs and were more spacious. 

“When we viewed the ‘Oakham’ house type online for the first time, we knew it was the one. It’s such a beautiful home which is perfect for a growing family like ours. I think my favourite room is the kitchen/dining area - it’s so spacious and I get to look at the sea while making a cup of tea. People are gobsmacked with how beautiful our home is.”

Steven added: “The local area is brilliant. There are so many restaurants, shops and bars within walking distance, we have everything we could possibly want right on our doorstep. We also have the privilege of being able to take our dog on lots of scenic walks along the seafront and in the nearby recreation areas.

“We used the Part Exchange scheme to upgrade to our new home which really took the stress of selling our previous home away. The sales staff were also fantastic, they made the whole process so simple for us. Latitude is a fantastic place to live and I would highly recommend it to anyone thinking of moving to the area.”
