First Residents Welcomed To Saxilby Heights

Taylor Wimpey East Midlands has welcomed the very first family to its Saxilby Heights development in Saxilby, Lincolnshire.

Benjamin Wade, 35, and his wife Lucy, 33, were previously renting a home in Skellingthorpe but were looking for somewhere more spacious to move into with their three children Connor, 14, Freddie, 9, and Ivy, 3. 

The family were over the moon when they managed to secure their dream four-bedroom home and got the keys in September.

Benjamin said: “Lucy and I had been waiting to get onto the property ladder for quite some time but wanted to make sure we found the right home for us in the right location. We both wanted to remain near to work and the children's grandparents, so when we saw that Taylor Wimpey had a development in Saxilby, we just had to pay them a visit. Our first impressions of the development were that the houses all seemed well spaced out and generously sized, and we thought the nearby park area was fantastic.

“The four-bedroom ‘Corsham’ is the ideal home for us. All the bedrooms are brilliantly sized, including the fourth bedroom, so it really suits us perfectly as a growing family. The garage was also a real selling point for me as I didn’t have one in our previous home, so it feels great to finally have my own!”

Lucy added: “None of this would have been possible without the government-backed Help to Buy: Equity Loan scheme. We really wanted a spacious four-bedroom home but we were unsure if we’d be able to get a mortgage for one. 

“We also really appreciated all the help we received from the Saxilby Heights team, especially during the difficult and unsettling time of the Covid-19 lockdown. Despite the challenges that come with buying a new home during a pandemic, the sales team made the whole process very straightforward and everyone has been really helpful from start to finish.”
