First Home Purchased At New Swindon Development
The first property at Persimmon’s new Stanton Chase development in Swindon has been purchased, and the buyer is set to move into his new home by late July.
The development is located on the edge of the suburb of Kingsdown in Stratton St Margaret, north west of the town centre. When complete, Stanton Chase will provide 113 good quality homes for local people with 30% of those transferred to a local housing association partner.
The first house on Stanton Chase has been bought by a local man who was impressed by the three storey design, which has a comfortable level of space and privacy for himself and his teenage children.
This is the second Persimmon home Mark Cooper will have owned, and he says he’s ‘delighted’ to be able to buy this brand new three-bedroom home off-plan.
Having signed for his brand new family home Mark Cooper says: “I am delighted to be buying my second Persimmon home. I have nothing but praise for the local sales team at Wessex who have been fantastic throughout the whole process. Buying a new home can be a stressful time but the team here have made everything as stress free as possible and I can’t wait to move into my new home on what promises to be fantastic development. My teenage children and I enjoy outdoor recreational activities and the location of our new home provides us with easy access to Stanton Country Park and Stratton Wood as well as giving me good access to the A419 for my commute to work.”
Stanton Chase offers a mix of two-, three- and four-bedroom houses for local people with prices starting from £299,995. The sales office for the site is already open at Persimmon’s other Swindon development at Badbury Park, with the show home expected to launch at Stanton Chase next month.
The development’s on-site open space has also been designed to create a sense of community and meet the needs of families with young children. All new homes at the site will come with EV charging points, and public charging points will be provided as part of the local centre building as we deliver a long-term, sustainable community.
Commenting on the first sale, Pauline Fletcher, sales director for Persimmon Wessex, says: “We are delighted that the first properties at our exciting Stanton Chase development are selling and the positive interest we’ve seen in the good quality, affordable homes available on site. At Persimmon we provide ourselves on building good quality homes for local people and we believe we will deliver a development which will meet the needs of local people and deliver a long-term, sustainable community. To hear that the first buyer on this new development is a returning Persimmon customer is very pleasing and we believe it highlights the quality of our workmanship and the overall customer care we offer to all prospective Persimmon customers locally.”
