Families Seek Country Life At Cheshire Development

Posted 27 April 2021 by Keith Osborne

Lovell Homes' Weston Woods is proving a popular choice for families leaving urban life for something a bit more rural...

Surrounded by nature with only a short walk to the woods, Lovell Homes’ Weston Woods development has attracted an abundance of buyers looking to escape to the country.

Alison Sinka and her husband Craig had no intention of moving when they visited Weston village to have lunch at a local pub. The spot holds a special place for the couple as they got engaged outside the White Lion, and after catching a glimpse of Lovell’s logo on the site of its new development, the couple decided it was fate and that Weston Woods would be the perfect location for their new family home.

Alison, who works at a local primary school, said: “The village itself means a lot to me as I spent a lot of my childhood running around Weston and exploring its beautiful surroundings, which is something I’m keen for my children to experience as well.

“As soon as I saw that Lovell was building houses in the area, I knew it was the right time for us to make the move. Its location is probably one of the development’s biggest selling points – the local school and supermarket are only a 15-minute drive away and we can walk to the pub in under ten minutes, which is fantastic considering how quiet the surrounding area is.”

The family bought the four-bedroom ‘Redbourne’ property. Craig, who works as a director at a builders’ merchant, said: “In terms of the property itself, we couldn’t have asked for more. Our youngest daughter has cerebral palsy, so we need a lot of space at home to make sure we have room for all her medical equipment. Offering four large bedrooms along with a spacious kitchen and living area, the house has provided each member of our family with the space they need to truly enjoy our new home.”

Sinka familyThe couple reserved the house in October 2020 and were the first completion on the Weston Woods development, moving into the property two months later in December.

Alison added: “Moving during the middle of a pandemic was hard work as a lot of the usual processes were delayed due to the impact of Covid-19. However, we really benefitted from not being stuck in an upward chain and knowing exactly when we would be able to move into the new property, rather than relying on the success of someone else’s sale.

“We’ve have settled into the property now and we’re looking forward to making lots of new memories with the kids in our new home.”

The Robinson family – who swapped their busy city life for Weston Woods – have put a personal touch to their own new four-bedroom ‘Redbourne’ home by making the most of Lovell Homes’ Inspirations service.

After enjoying the benefits of living in a large city, Toni and Shannon Robinson relocated with their two children in the search of a quieter, more relaxed lifestyle.

Toni, 27 said: “During our house hunt, we were keen to have a change of scenery and find a modern house based in a picturesque, rural location – and Weston Woods offered us just that.

“The development provided us with the best of both worlds – we were able to buy a house that was surrounded by idyllic countryside, while still being in close proximity to all the amenities and transport links we could ever need.

“Not only did we fall in love with the property’s location, but we also enjoyed being able to design our interiors exactly how we wanted them with the help of Lovell’s Inspirations team.”

Robinson familyToni and Shannon chose to upgrade their kitchen surfaces to granite, as well as choosing unique taps, showers and tiles to give their home a more personal finish.

Toni continued: “Buying a new build was a new experience for us and it’s something we’d definitely do again. It enabled us to avoid the stress of dealing with previous property owners and being stuck in a chain, as well as being able to make all of the upgrades we wanted through one supplier, which really streamlined the process.

“Having a fresh, blank canvas that we could personalise and make our own before we even moved into the property made the buying process so easy – we can’t recommend it highly enough.”

The Robinson family reserved the ‘Redbourne’ property in September 2020 and completed the purchase in January 2021.

Shannon, 34, said: “The space offered by the ‘Redbourne’ is the epitome of family living – providing us with a large living and kitchen space so we can truly make the most of our time together and entertain our loved ones.

“Although we chose to move home during a challenging time – with the pandemic notoriously slowing down a lot of house sales – Lovell was incredibly accommodating and stuck to our agreed timescales, so we can now look forward to spending 2021 settling into our brand-new countryside home.”
