A couple who have been married for 63 years have relocated from Mickleton in Gloucestershire to the picturesque Herefordshire village of Cradley after finding a dream home at Living Space Housing’s flagship Malvern Oaks development of bungalows and family houses.
Jo and Geoff Parr were keen to relocate to the area to be closer to family who live in nearby Bromyard. Mrs Parr said: “We were living in a large four-bedroom home in Mickleton, which is close to The Cotswolds, but took the decision that we would benefit from being closer to our family, who live in Bromyard. With bungalows in high demand, we missed out on buying a home very close to where our daughter lives, so she suggested we viewed Malvern Oaks, which is seven miles away. We loved the quality and the setting, so we reserved a ‘Stanford’ bungalow on the spot and haven’t looked back!
“Relocating over an hour’s drive from our old family home was a daunting prospect, but having generous room dimensions has really helped with the process of downsizing. The design of our Stanford bungalow is very practical and having an en suite shower room off the main bedroom is perfect for our needs. The living room and kitchen are so light and airy, and there is plenty of space to entertain family and friends, both inside and out.”
All but two of the 19 houses and bungalows at the popular development have already been matched with buyers.
