Lancashire Countryside Home Shapes Up For Family

Ben Moore was able to make his new build home fit around his family thanks to Kingswood’s Shape Your Home concept.

The revolutionary concept that puts buyers in charge of home layouts meant Ben and his partner Rebecca could give each of their three children a bedroom by turning a three-bedroom home into a four-bedroom one.

The couple decided to move from the seaside town of Cleveleys for a life in the countryside and it was after a woodland walk in Elswick that they first discovered Kingswood Homes’ The Hawthorns.

“It was the Kingswood Homes aesthetic that first caught our eyes. We saw the development from the road and loved how the homes looked like woodland lodges with the wooden cladding. They were miles apart from many typical new builds,” said estate agent Ben. “After we’d been into the sales office, I don’t think I put the brochure down for more than five minutes, they were just so different from anything on the market.”

The family decided on a three-bedroom ‘Haybarn 3’ and while initially thinking their two older children could share a bedroom, they used Shape Your Home to give them a bedroom each.

“Even though we’ve taken some floor space from the main bedroom to create the fourth bedroom, we still have a really spacious bedroom. And even the smallest bedroom is more than big enough for our young daughter,” added Ben.

As someone that works in the housing industry, Ben said the team at Kingswood has been brilliant from start to finish. “You hear about some developers being great at the start but once they’ve got the sale, the care drops off but our journey could not be more different. We felt like we were in safe hands throughout our journey and the aftercare once we moved in was great.”
