The Help to Buy equity loan scheme is available on stylish one-bedroom apartments at Taylor Wimpey's Oaklands development at Crookham Park

Homebuyers in Hampshire are being offered the chance to grab a great deal on a new apartment at Taylor Wimpey’s Oaklands development at Crookham Park.

The Government’s Help to Buy equity loan scheme is now available to be used against stylish one-bedroom ‘Lime’ apartments, priced from just £225,000 at Crookham Park, which enjoys a peaceful location set amongst acres of forest and grassland.

Help to Buy enables first-time buyers and those looking to move home to access a Government loan for up to 20% of their new home’s full price – meaning they only require a 75% loan-to-value mortgage and a deposit as low as 5%.

That means eligible purchasers can secure the ‘Lime’ apartment (Plot 481, priced at £225,000) with a mortgage of £168,750 and a deposit of £11,250.

Susan Joseph, Regional Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey, says: “This is the first time in a while that we’ve had apartments available to reserve at Oaklands at Crookham Park, so we’re expecting this new release of properties to be extremely popular, especially with those looking to make their first move on the property ladder.

“Help to Buy makes these beautiful homes even more affordable as not only can buyers take advantage of the low deposit, they can also benefit from lower monthly mortgage payments.

“I would urge prospective purchasers to get in touch as soon as possible to give themselves the best chance of securing their favourite plot.”

Each of the ‘Lime’ apartments currently available to reserve at Oaklands at Crookham Park comes complete with a fully-fitted kitchen with integrated appliances. This property’s thoughtful layout features an open-plan kitchen/living/dining room with double doors to a private balcony, plus a large bedroom, a bathroom and handy storage off the internal entrance hallway. There’s also allocated parking outside.

Help to Buy is available on new-build homes up to the value of £600,000 and there’s no salary cap for purchasers taking advantage of the scheme.

A wider range of services and amenities can be found just a mile away in the bustling town of Fleet, while Crookham Park is only three miles from Aldershot, four miles from Farnborough and five miles from Farnham.

Fleet railway station provides regular services to London Waterloo in under an hour, the M3 is just four miles from home and there are superb transport links further afield to London, Eastbourne and Brighton.
