29-year-old Victoria Garratt is a lettings manager for Foxtons estate agents, while husband Jonathon, aged 30, is a senior brand designer for Avanti West Coast Rail. Victoria said: “We both grew up in the countryside and wanted to buy a home in a rural village location with a good local pub, where we could go on scenic walks and runs right from our front door. We had a large search area because my husband works in King’s Cross and I work just off the M1 – in many ways the choice of location was too great. Some good friends were also looking to move out of London and bought a house in Silsoe. They recommended we look at Hayfield Place and the rest is history! We fell in love with the three-bedroom ‘Hatton’ show home on our first visit.
