Buyer Assistance Scheme Helps Naomi Secure Her New Home
Thanks to one of its assistance scheme for buyers, David Wilson Homes has welcomed a brand new member to its established Lancashire community, who ‘rightsized’ for a low-maintenance and affordable home.
Solicitor Naomi Pinder made the move from a larger home in Liverpool to a three-bedroom home at Inglewhite Meadow in Longridge having found a more manageable home when her adult sons moved out. She was able to afford her home due to the equity from the sale of her previous property, and made huge savings by purchasing through the housebuilder’s Movemaker scheme.
The bespoke Movemaker scheme is a fantastic option for anyone looking for an easier move. David Wilson Homes will help to sell an existing home by arranging two independent valuations and paying the estate agent fees.
Naomi said: “The sales adviser at the development, Trish Brockbank, was instrumental in my move. She suggested I opt to use the Movemaker scheme which saved me £6,500 worth of fees and helped me when choosing my preferred style of home.
“Making these savings allowed me to put more money into adding extras to my home to make it even more beautiful, such as landscaping my back garden and decorating my front garden with lovely hanging baskets.
“Trish was never pushy and always provided great and insightful advice. The entire team works so hard and are always around to help with any queries I had. I make sure I call in every now and again just to say hello!”
Inglewhite Meadow
Her youngest son and his wife had moved to a new homes development in the area and, upon visiting him, Naomi was convinced by the quality and ease that new builds could offer. Naomi looked no further than David Wilson Homes’ development on Inglewhite Road before taking the next step on the property ladder herself.
She said: “I had never considered a new build home before, but when I visited my son’s home, it was so beautiful I couldn’t believe it. I had previously looked at older homes but, as I prepare for the future, they just weren’t suitable for me. I was concerned about high ceilings, too much space to maintain and whether the houses were properly insulated. My new home is perfect. The rooms are a great size, I love having a front and rear garden, and I have barely had to use my central heating once since I moved in.
“I loved the development immediately, it’s in an excellent location. Walking is great for the environment as well as physical and mental health, so the fact that I can walk to the shops and other amenities close to home is ideal for me.”
As well as the amenities, Naomi’s home benefits from being adjacent to a cut-through that leads to a country lane with views of pigs grazing in a nearby farm, where she also buys her eggs.
Naomi has expressed a real love for Inglewhite Meadow, Longridge as a new community, and her new home. Having met many of her neighbours and become a regular at the nearby church, Naomi has comfortably settled into life in Lancashire.
