Lifestyle Change For Family Of Four

Niall Buckingham, 32, and his partner Lauren Hurd, 36, along with six-year-old Keira and two-year-old Maisie have left their city life behind and moved to a three-bedroom home on Davidsons’ Ratcliffe Gardens development.

Niall says: “Lauren and I have spoken for a while about moving closer to her family in Loughborough, so that the girls can spend more time with them as they grow up. When we started to look at new homes in the area, the honest truth is that we felt the quality of Davidsons’ homes were unparalleled. Nowhere else we saw had homes of the same quality. We first saw Ratcliffe Gardens in Sileby in September and we moved into our new home just two months later. The process couldn’t have been easier, which I think is largely down to the fact that we used their Part Exchange scheme to sell our old home in Manchester. It was such a quick and painless process, we were in our new house before we even knew it!”

The family moved into their new home in November, with Keira quickly settling into her new school just down the road. Niall is currently training to be an electrician, which requires travelling across the country.

Niall says: “Commuting to work is so easy from Sileby, because the connections are so good. We can get to Leicester in just 20 minutes and the M1 is close by which can then easily take me to Nottingham or Sheffield. We’re slap bang in the middle of where we need to be. It’s not just about the location though. We really love our Davidsons home. The layout is fantastic, the utility room is well set up, and as an electrician I can appreciate that the standard of workmanship throughout the property is a cut above the rest.

“We really appreciated little touches throughout our buying process, like the lovely hamper which was given to us when we moved in. Things like that really make you feel like a person to them, not just another buyer. We’ve been busy decorating since we moved in, as we wanted to quickly make the house our own. Next on the list is to get to know the area a bit better. We have lovely countryside on our doorstep, so we’re keen to take the girls out to explore our surroundings.
