New Home Is Best Move For Mum In Worcester

A buyer at The Grove, Bloor Homes’ development of 325 new homes in Worcester, has described her experience as ‘the best move we’ve ever made’ after purchasing a four-bedroom ‘Morris’ modern townhouse for her and her two daughters.

Single mum Holly was looking for the perfect home and made an appointment with Bloor Homes’ sales team to view the show homes at The Grove.

The whole experience was really positive from the outset, as Holly explains: “The sales team couldn't have made any more effort with us. They asked us what it was that we were looking for and really went above and beyond in showing us different features of the property, different areas of the development, and really tried to tailor what we needed. I just found that absolutely fantastic. They both then followed it through after we left and helped us all the way through.”

After reviewing all the options, Holly decided on the four-bedroom Morris home with three floors, which is perfect for growing families. As well as ample family space on the ground floor with a lovely entrance hall, cloakroom and great storage space at the front of the house, and a light filled kitchen / diner with French doors onto the garden across the whole of the back of the home, The Morris’ first floor has three great sized bedrooms including one with an en-suite, plus a family bathroom.

But for Holly it was the large bedroom and en-suite across the whole of the third floor that really sold it to her, as she explains: “What I like most about The Morris is the layout. I think you get a lot of house for the money. I think the size of the upstairs bedroom is fantastic. I think it was having the two en-suites and being a very good size - having two girls coming up to teenagers - that really attracted me to The Morris.”

After deciding on their new home, Holly wanted to be sure moving to a brand new Bloor Home was the right decision, and for her own peace of mind she asked advice from people she knew who work in the building trade. They gave Bloor Homes the thumbs up too – saying the quality of the build is fantastic.

The Grove’s location, which includes an ‘informal’ country park and adjoining fishing lake was also a plus for the family, with Holly describing the development as ‘ticking all the boxes’ for her and her girls.

Holly concludes: “We have been very lucky in the fact that everyone to do with Bloor has been absolutely fantastic; they've really looked after us - it really feels like they've had their arm around us. To a certain extent they knew how challenging the move was, and they've literally looked after us the whole time. I cannot express how fantastic they have been. If someone was thinking of buying a property at The Grove, I would tell them absolutely to go ahead. I would say it would be the best decision that you've ever made - moving to The Grove and living in a Bloor home has made a dramatic difference to our life. We're so happy; it was definitely the best move that we've ever made.”

Located just under three miles from Worcester town centre, The Grove is now 90% sold and has less than 20 two-, three- and four-bedroom homes remaining, including The Drake two-bedroom show home, and the three-bedroom Heywood show home which is due to be released imminently.

As well as providing brand new, low maintenance, energy efficient homes at The Grove, 11 of these final homes also include PV solar panels.
