Barratt Homes celebrates a unique proposal at Becket’s Brow

Posted 2 September 2016 by Helen Christie

Barratt Homes Manchester is celebrating its first marriage proposal at its Becket’s Brow development in Chapel en le Frith, Derbyshire...

The couple have purchased a spacious four-bedroom mews home at the development where Jonathan popped the question after hiding an engagement ring in the wardrobe of their new home. Margherita, of course said yes!

Margherita, 33, and Jonathan, 28, are both researchers at the University of Manchester who, having spent the last 10 years renting in London and Manchester, were ready to leave inner city life behind to get on the property ladder in the rural Peak District.

Like many first-time buyers, the couple took advantage of the government’s popular Help to Buy Equity scheme to buy their home, which they purchased for £189,995.

Now happily settled in, the newly engaged couple couldn’t be more delighted with their new home, and are full of praise for the excellent service they received from Barratt.

Jonathan says: “Our sales adviser, Cherry, was hugely helpful all the way through the buying process and the whole after sales service is still amazing even now we have moved in. I couldn’t recommend Barratt enough.”

Becket’s Brow is a stunning new development of spacious two-, three- and four-bedroom homes located in Chapel en le Frith, a beautiful countryside location popular with families, and within easy commuter reach of Manchester, Stockport and Macclesfield.

As well as offering desirable family homes, the Becket’s Brow development, along with its neighbouring development, Octavia Gardens, have also brought with them substantial improvements to the local bus routes and nearby roads, in addition to investment in nearby outdoor recreational facilities and open spaces.
