First-Time Buyers Choose New Build Home In Milton Keynes

Keith OsborneA couple originally from Romania, but living in the UK for five years, have bought their first home together at Barratt Homes’ Brooklands development in Milton Keynes.
Cristian (38) and Anca (32) Pintea, who both work in admin, were previously living in rented accommodation, but wanted a home to call their own. They have now made the step on to the property ladder and settled into a two-bedroom ‘Ashford’ style home at the development, located on Fen Street.
Cristian said: “It was a long journey involving a lot of hard work, but the thought of coming home to my own peace and quiet can’t be matched. A new build property was the perfect fit for us as there is no need to renovate, it is energy efficient, and everything is up to date and modern.
“A few years ago, I actually worked as a painter in some Barratt Homes properties, so I have been aware of the quality on offer for a very long time. Back then I dreamed of owning such a house, and now that dream has become a reality.
“Our moving experience with Barratt Homes was amazing. From viewing to purchasing and beyond, we always felt like we were in safe hands.”
Brooklands is a thriving community with a large range of amenities such as a medical centre, shops and food outlets all within walking distance.
Cristian continued: “Brooklands really stood out to us for its location and community. Having many schools close by will be very beneficial for us in the future and our neighbours are very friendly. We have already joined the community pages on social media which give us added peace of mind that everyone is looking out for each other.”
Alison Raine, sales director at Barratt Homes Northampton, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Cristian and Anca to our exciting Brooklands development. We’re really proud of the community here and more than pleased to hear they had a great moving experience. As we are over 95% sold at Brooklands, I would encourage anyone interested to book an appointment with our amazing sales team.”
For transport, the National Coach station sits on the edge of the development, and Milton Keynes Central station is just a few minutes away. A short drive brings residents to both Junctions 13 and 14 of the M1.
A range of two-, three- and four-bedroom homes is currently available, starting from £329,995. Barratt Homes hosts a virtual 'Boost your Budget' event in partnership with Tembo on Saturday 23 September. Find out more about Brooklands.
