100th Completion Milestone At Westbury Development
Housebuilder Backhouse is celebrating its 100th completion with customers at Callaway Gardens, its development in Westbury, Wiltshire.
To mark the 100th milestone, as they moved into their new three-bedroom home, new residents and soon to be newly-weds, Simon Cornick and Julie Blick, were presented with a bottle of champagne and £100 of John Lewis vouchers.
The couple, who moved into their new £415,000 four-bedroom detached home in March, haven’t stopped pinching themselves since. Simon said: “We can’t stop thinking how lucky we are. It’s a stunning home and we absolutely love living here.”
The couple enjoy socialising and entertaining and for them their generous open-plan living space works perfectly. Julie added: “The stunning bi-fold doors that lead from the kitchen onto our patio and private landscaped, south-facing, garden bring so much light into the house and make it a wonderful to congregate both in and out of doors.”
Simon is keen on attention to detail, design and quality and “cannot fault the build quality throughout their home”. Another favourite aspect of the house, for them, is the way Backhouse has incorporated generous ceiling heights and large windows in the property.
Julie said: “One of the most eye-catching features is the way the hallway makes such a dramatic impressive entrance because of the high ceilings and it’s so full of natural light. You get the feel-good factor from the moment you approach the spacious porch which creates a grand entrance and sets the scene as you step into the hallway.”
Simon and Julie are also thrilled with “having a wood-burner in their living room, which makes the whole downstairs feel instantly homely”. The pair also love the flexibility of the accommodation and layout. They have four bedrooms, one of which they have styled as a home office which has plenty of space for a sofa bed and a desk and is perfect for Simon who works from home for much of the week.
Backhouse’s founder and executive chairman, Theo Backhouse, commented: “Reaching this milestone reflects the entire team’s dedication to design and building quality homes that are centred around our customers and the surrounding local environment. We have stuck by our founding principles of homebuyers deserving better, sensibly priced stylish homes providing smart living solutions. Backhouse is a design-led housebuilder focused on creating aspirational and desirable homes for customers to enjoy living in. We have been extremely pleased with the feedback from our customers.”
Emily Adams, head of sales and marketing at Backhouse, continued: “We are committed to giving home buyers more choice and providing the best in new homes. We were delighted that Simon and Julie were able to join us to celebrate this major milestone in Backhouse’s journey.”
The design-led housebuilder continues to build on its existing portfolio of five completed developments and five further projects in the pipeline extending across the South of England, from Somerset and Wiltshire to The Cotswolds and Oxfordshire. Find out more at www.backhousehousing.com.
