New Home For Newlyweds In Bury
Samantha, 24, and Rafail, 25, have taken their first steps onto the property ladder at Allison Homes’ Cromwell Fields development in Bury, allowing them to begin married life in their very own home.
Living with their parents in Huntingdonshire before purchasing the property, Sam and Raf’s primary motivation for getting a place of their own was finally being able to live together for the first time.
Sam says: “It’s a massive relief to be able to say that we own a house, particularly with the prices seemingly forever increasing, as we really wanted to be able to live together for the first time. We both worked a lot of overtime in order to save up. We were doing six or seven days a week at work because we were trying not to cut much out of our lives in order to live them fully, but saving up during COVID-19 really helped as we weren’t able to go out, so anything we didn’t spend went towards the house.”
After saving up for their home, Sam and Raf decided that Cromwell Fields would be an ideal location, as they knew the area well, wanted to remain nearby friends and family, and could still easily get to work. After visiting the development, the newlyweds were soon won over by the sales executives, Tracy and Liz.
Raf comments: “Tracy and Liz were simply exceptional, and we had zero problems with the communication. Amazingly, even though they must see so many people every single day, they always remembered us and made us feel welcome. One of the things that really touched us was being greeted with flowers, prosecco, cards and even chocolate for Raf’s little sister on the day of the move. All of our snags got sorted out straight away and we’re still greeted with a smile whenever we bump into them.”
Sam and Raf made the move to a three-bedroom, detached The Linwood property, which they purchased off-plan, allowing them to pick their flooring and kitchen worktops before the home was complete. The couple have now settled into their new home and life together, really making the most of the property.
Sam concludes: “There’s ample space for two, with a really nice south facing garden that we love. Our favourite room is the large kitchen and we spend most of our time here. We’ve added an island, the cabinets are lovely, and there’s plenty of storage and space to move around. Being able to relax after a long day at work and having our own space, rather than being confined to one room at our parents’ homes, is really a wonderful feeling. I’m just thrilled to get to share all of this with my new husband.”
