When it came to buying a new home, hockey player and HR manager Linda Spiers’ top priority was a better work/life balance.

Linda paid £340,000 for her new house. After her deposit of £150,000 from the sale of her previous home, she just had to obtain a mortgage of £190,000, requiring a monthly repayment of £804.
