Customer service runs deep and true through the Bewley Homes philosophy, but what also stands out is its commitment to its own staff – the basis of any good and successful business. Bewley keeps an eye on its employees as much as market conditions and the bottom line.
With the cost-of-living crisis biting and bitter months ahead, the board announced earlier in the year that it would pay every member of staff a £200 bonus for six months.
Bewley leads the way on mental health as well, supporting colleagues, be it one-to-one or through team social events. It also launched its Pride of Bewley Awards, an internal scheme to encourage and reward a culture of appreciation. Externally, the best customer experience underpins all Bewley’s sales and marketing initiatives.
