Wales new homes round-up – the pick of new build property for sale

Posted 22 April 2016 by Helen Christie

The WhatHouse? team has picked a selection of the best new build homes in Wales...

Wales is a place full of development, and last year saw several large schemes starting up from a range of developers.

An increase in homes being built, and the growing popularity of areas such as Gwynedd has shown a steep rise in sales. Last year, North Wales saw nearly triple the number of homes being sold in comparison to recent averages. However, while data from the Land Registry has shown that sales are strong in hotspots such as Dolwyddelan and on Anglesey, the total number of properties sold in Wales in 2015 as a whole was lower than in 2014.

Potential buyers in Wales can also benefit from government schemes such as Help to Buy Wales and many housebuilders now offer part exchangeIf you really want to make the most of your money, you could even purchase a 10 acre country park boasting residential and guest accommodation, located in Snowdonia National Park for £1.25m.

Here, we take a look at a range of new homes now for sale from large and small housebuilders across Wales:

The development is located off Queensway in Llanwern, Newport. The marketing suite and show homes are open every day between 10.00am and 5.30pm.

Crymlyn Grove in Skewen (Barratt Homes)

Crymlyn GroveBuyers in the region can move into the perfect new home in time for summer thanks to part exchange with Barratt Homes.

The five star housebuilder is offering a selection of three- and four-bedroom homes at its popular Crymlyn Grove development, and those wishing to move up to one of the final homes on the development in Skewen can simplify the entire process with part exchange.

Sales director Richard Lawson says: “For many, there is the complication of selling an existing home in order to buy a new one. And that is where our part exchange scheme is proving to be invaluable.”

Part exchange removes all the uncertainty associated with a move. Barratt is a cash buyer - so there is no chain, no last-minute haggling and no hidden costs - and people can stay in their old property until their new home is ready.

Richard adds: “All of these stylish new homes are fantastic for families looking for plenty of space to grow into, and if buyers are moving further up the ladder, our part exchange scheme makes certain they can keep the excitement of the whole process but do away with all the stresses of selling their own property.

Located within the semi-rural village of Skewen, the development is surrounded by spectacular hills. It is conveniently situated just a 15 minute drive from Swansea city centre. And, for beach lovers, the Gower coast is a short distance away.

Crymlyn Grove offers excellent transport links for commuters with easy access to the M4 motorway. And local shops, schools, leisure centres, golf courses, country pubs and a train station are all close by.
