Top of the Props: Our pick of the best new homes for sale in Worcestershire

Posted 16 April 2015 by WhatHouse?

“The beauty of Worcestershire is that within a mere two hours from central London by car, a short drive to Birmingham, Cheltenham and Bristol you can find some of the most fabulous countryside, a quiet preserve of rural England on the doorstep of bustling commerce, thriving villages, market towns and active communities,” says Peter Edwards of Knight Frank. “Importantly, from a property perspective, in comparison to its eastern neighbours, the county remains extremely good value.”

The Worcestershire Strategic housing Market Analysis report of 2012 revealed that where 17,580 new homes were built in the county between 2001 and 2011, projections for population growth and demographic change forward to the year 2030 showed that the number of new households might increase by between 37,500 and 47,300.

The South Worcester has revised its Development Plan to increase the number of new homes it will provide to over 28,000 by 2030, though it quells some fears of over-development by saying “many new sites are clustered in or adjacent to the urban area of Worcester or the towns of Malvern, Evesham, Droitwich Spa, Pershore, Upton upon Severn and Tenbury Wells rather than the area’s villages or in the open countryside.”

Barratt Homes – The ‘Heathfield’ at The Orchards, Evesham

Barratt Homes West Midlands is offering homebuyers free removals if they purchase a ‘Heathfield house’ at The Orchards development in Evesham using its Part Exchange scheme before the end of April 2015.

Nicola Watton, sales manager at Barratt West Midlands says:  “Buyers should jump at the opportunity to take advantage of our popular Part Exchange scheme, and if they do so before the end of April, we will pay for their removals, leaving extra cash to furnish their new home.”

The Heathfield is a four-bedroom detached house with a single integral garage and parking. The ground floor comprises a lounge with bay window, a fully fitted kitchen and dining area with French doors leading to the rear garden, and utility room. The master bedroom with modern en suite can be found on the first floor along with two further double bedrooms, a single bedroom and a family bathroom.
