Wales new homes round-up – top new build property for sale today

Posted 27 November 2015 by Keith Osborne

The best of the new homes for sale in North and South Wales, from some of the country's most renowned housebuilders...

The Ministry of Justice has announced that it may close a number of Victorian city centre prisons – potentially including those in Swansea and Cardiff – and use the sites for the creation of thousands of new homes.

Cardiff Central MP Jo Stevens says: “Cardiff is a fast-growing city and in order to encourage visitors and businesses it is important that we can provide great facilities, affordable housing and high-quality office space. Freeing up land in the city centre could enable Cardiff to do just that, if we’re on the list of sites to sell.”

Cardiff South and Penarth Labour MP Stephen Doughty adds: “I’m not opposed to looking at the redevelopment and renovation or modernisation of prison facilities but obviously the devil will be in the detail both in terms of cost and location for any revised premises.”

Meanwhile, in the major cities and other areas, the nation’s housebuilders are hard at work constructing a huge array of new build homes in Wales right now, including:
