Keith OsborneA new three-bedroom Rowan style show home and a four-bedroom Juniper villa have just been unveiled at Cruden Homes’ hugely popular Oaklands development in west central Edinburgh.
The three-bedroom semi-detached Rowan features a practical layout with ample storage and includes a stylish fitted kitchen, living/dining area, downstairs wc, upstairs landing, three bedrooms (master en-suite) and a family bathroom. Outside, there’s an integral garage, driveway and private garden.
The new showhome has been styled throughout with distinct, bold colours and furnishings to create a contemporary feel. It includes designer tiling by Porcelanosa, contemporary chrome ironmongery, plus an integrated dishwasher, fridge freezer and stainless steel oven, hob and chimney hood in the kitchen.
Hazel Davies, sales and marketing manager at Cruden Homes (East) Ltd, said: “Homes at Oaklands were already in great demand as there is a real need for new, sensibly priced family housing in this very popular part of the city, and the opening of the new showhome has created even more interest from buyers.”
Only launched at the beginning of April, the new development has already seen over 80% of the properties sold off plan, and a further release of properties has now also sold over 80%. Prices of the remaining properties in the current release range from £160,000 for a two-bedroom mid-terraced villa to £249,000 a four-bedroom detached villa. When complete, Oaklands will consist of a selection of forty-nine family homes for sale in a mix of two and three-bedroom terraced and semi-detached and four-bedroom detached styles.
Situated in an established setting in the city’s Broomhouse Crescent just off the main Calder Road/Saughton Road with views to nearby Corstorphine Hill, the development is ideally placed for easy access to both the city centre and the main road and rail networks in and out of Edinburgh.
The Broomhouse area is an active community with a host of leisure and social pursuits nearby, including public parks and local golf courses. Families with younger children have Broomhouse Primary and St Joseph’s RC Primary both a short walk away from Oaklands, while secondary education is also available at nearby Forrester High School and St Augustine’s RC High School.
