Cornwall has always been an appealing location for homebuyers in the UK, mainly due to its mild and sunny climate and picturesque towns and villages. Families are impressed with the excellent schools and colleges, and the university and art college at Falmouth is encouraging businesses to relocate to the town, bringing prosperity to the region.
New homes are being built in a variety of locations, many by local builders, and others by respected national housebuilders sensitively considering the local building styles. Newquay, Padstow, Looe, Liskard, Cambourne and Bodmin are just some of the towns and villages attracting development and new residents.
All Cornish train services must go through Plymouth where they connect to other services, though many of the coastal resorts now no longer have their own stations. The A30, A38 and A39 are the main routes into Cornwall. There are also an increasing number of flights to Newquay airport.
