Bradford’s economy is growing and the city is becoming one of the region’s powerhouses as a number of financial, manufacturing and retailers locate their headquarters in the city. Bradford University has over 10,000 students many of whom remain in the city after graduation to take up employment opportunities.
New developments are located around the edge of the city at Wyke, Bierley and Tyersal offering a variety of accommodation from student flats to larger family homes from a number of national housebuilders.
Bradford is surrounded by a ring of A-roads and motorway access to Leeds, Halifax, Wakefield and Huddersfield. Metro train services connect Bradford with Leeds and Northern Rail for services to Manchester, Halifax and Keighley. Grand Central provides intercity services to London Kings Cross.
