Suffolk Couple Find Their Dream Home Together
With the big day looming, this couple have managed to buy and complete a stress-free transition into their dream home together, thanks to Barratt Homes.
Aiden Higgins (27) and his fiancé Darren Mather (46) have downsized to Barratt Homes’ three bedroom Eskdale style property at Hunter’s Chase in Red Lodge.
They are enjoying the benefits of having a new build Barratt home, which they share with Darren’s 13-year-old son and dog, Poppy (6).
Aiden said: “I’ve always dreamt of owning a Barratt home because of how fresh and new it is. This really signified a new beginning for us which is exactly what we wanted.”
“The incentives we were offered on our property made moving really easy, and the Sales Advisers Helen and Lizzie were helpful throughout the moving process.”
Whilst Darren had owned a larger house previously, the new move has allowed Aiden to also get on the property ladder, and they’re both excited about owning a home together.
As they’ve moved in winter, they’ve already noticed the energy efficient properties of their home and are saving on their bills each month.
The family are enjoying the new community at Hunters Chase, which is already beginning to flourish into a close-knit neighbourhood.
Aiden added: “We chose this area to stay close to work and our families, and the Eskdale is the perfect home for socialising as it has lovely sized rooms and an open plan kitchen and diner.”
“The shape of the house also immediately appealed to us and we knew it was a perfect fit once we saw the size of the garden. Everything just ticked the boxes for us in this home.”
Residents at Hunter’s Chase can also travel down the A14 to reach the historic market town of Bury St Edmunds, located just 12 miles away.
Bury St Edmunds offers a variety of activities for those looking to plan for their weekends, including the stunning scenery at Abbey Gardens and evening entertainment offered at the Theatre Royal.
Hunter’s Chase currently has two, three and four bedroom homes available to buy with prices starting from £251,995.
There are plenty of schemes house hunters can use to help them when reserving a property at a Barratt Homes development.
With Help to Buy, it’s a simple step onto the property ladder as buyers can secure a new home with just a 5% deposit.
Barratt Homes’ Part Exchange scheme is also available, where the developer purchases the customer’s current property in part exchange for a new home. The scheme cuts out estate agent fees and chains and provides the customer with a guaranteed buyer for their existing property.
Movemaker is another excellent option, which presents purchasers with a complimentary estate agency service with a free no obligation valuation on their existing home. Once a selling price has been agreed by the customer, David Wilson Homes will pay an estate agent to start selling their old home.
To register an interest in any of the properties at Hunter’s Chase, please visit the on-site sales and information centre, open: Monday 12.30pm to 5.30pm and Tuesday to Sunday between 10.00am to 5.30pm.
