The South West has heaps to offer homebuyers – whether they're heading for the exciting city of Bristol; other lively urban centres such as Plymouth, Swindon or Exeter; beautiful, historic cities such as Bath or Wells; or coastal villages and beach resorts dotted right around the coastline.
There is a growing demand for housing across many parts of the region, with plans revealed earlier this year for 85,000 new homes in Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire alone over the next two decades.
Right now, however, there are a number of interesting housing developments in the South West – including some affordable housing, and brand new homes right at the top end of the scale.
Here's our pick of some of the current options available in this region:
St. Martins, Looe, Cornwall (Aster Homes)
Just two one-bedroom apartments with parking now remain available on a Shared Ownership basis at this development in the small coastal town of Looe in south-east Cornwall.

Situated in a handy location just ten minutes' walk from the town centre and the beautiful, sandy beach, St Martins also offers fantastic hilltop views and a children’s playground.
An example of the Shared Ownership options would be a 40% share in the property at a cost of £44,000 (full price £110,000), with a monthly rent of £137.50, and a monthly service charge of £10.92.
