Launches, events and special offers keep coming in our new homes market, so whether you’re a serious house-hunter of just curious to see what’s out there to suit your needs, here’s a look at just some of this week’s treats...

 

New show apartment opens in central Edinburgh

People hunting for a new build apartment in Edinburgh will be delighted to now have the opportunity to visit a show home at Bonnington, a development from Miller Homes located on the Water of Leith, located west of the centre of the Scottish capital.

Bonnington will comprise 151 apartments in all, a range of one-, two- and three-bedroom options. The show home is a two-bedroom property which has been designed by Eileen Kesson using a sophisticated colour palette of neutral, cream and mauve. It has an open-plan kitchen and living room, with fully fitted units and appliances, and it has dual aspect windows to maximise the natural light.

Shared Ownership properties released at Hounslow site

The Staging PostThe first phase of new homes available with Shared Ownership have been released at The Staging Post, a development from Notting Hill Genesis in the west London suburb of Hounslow.

These new homes combine easy access to Lampton Park with great connections to the surrounding area and beyond. Buyers have a mix of one-, two- and three-bedroom homes to choose from, with different layouts to suit a range of requirements. Prices for a one-bedroom Shared Ownership apartment at The Staging Post start from £133,000 based on a 40% share (full market value of £332,500) or £162,500 based on a 50% share (full market value £325,000), dependent on the size of property.

New retirement show home now open in Evesham

Last week saw the unveiling of a new show home at Richmond Wood Norton, a development for over 55s that will provide independent living at a range of one- and two-bedroom apartments near Evesham, Worcestershire.

The development from specialist developer Richmond Villages complements its 61 independent living apartments (priced from £307,000) with 46 assisted living suites (priced from £231,000) and a 60-bed care floor providing 24-hour nursing and dementia support. Shared Ownership homes in Essex launch this weekend

BeaulieuSaturday 11 and Sunday 12 August see L&Q host the launch weekend of the latest range of 11 new one- and two-bedroom apartments in Beaulieu, a major new development taking shape on the edge of the city of Chelmsford.

Prices start from £54,375 for a 25% share of a one-bedroom home (full market value £217,500) and £71,250 for a 25% share of a two-bedroom home (full market value £285,000).  Buyers can expect fully fitted kitchens, built-in wardrobes to the master bedroom and a good specification throughout, These homes are also set among a series of themed gardens.

Launch of new show house at Strood this Saturday

Multi-award-winning housebuilder Redrow is opening a new show home at its Temple Wharf development in Strood, Kent this Saturday 11 August, giving house-hunters in the Medway area a chance to see the kind of property they can buy there.

Barratt opens two new show homes in Dunfermline

This weekend presents a first chance for prospective homebuyers in the Fife region of Scotland to take a tour of not one, but two show homes at The Heathers, a Barratt Homes development in Dunfermline.

Opening their doors on Saturday 11 August are the three bedroom semi-detached ‘Coull’ property and the detached four-bedroom ‘Dunbar’, fully decorated to show the specification complemented by some inspiring interior design and furnishings. The ‘Coull’ has a well-proportioned lounge, kitchen/dining room and utility room. The  ‘Dunbar’ has used the latest colour trends in its spacious lounge/kitchen/dining room and four bedrooms.

Mayor opens new development in Telford

Queensbury ParkLovell Homes invited the Mayor along to launch its latest development in Telford and reveal the first new homes available on the site.

Cllr Mehta, the Mayor of the Borough of Telford & Wrekin, unveiled the Queensbury Park site, which will deliver 165 homes in the Priorslee area of of the town. The first phase comprises 10 three- and four–bedroom homes of which seven were reserved over the  opening weekend. Two-bedroom homes will add to the mix on further phases.

Lovell sales manager, Michelle Barnsley says: “We are so excited with the development of Queensbury Park and how popular it is already proving to be. Final phase of Shared Ownership homes in Wokingham released

Developer So Resi has released the final phase of homes at So Resi Wokingham, a collection of Shared Ownership homes in the Berkshire town.

The development offers a wide range of properties: one and two-bedroom apartments and three and four-bedroom houses. Prices start at £98,000 for a 40% share of a one-bedroom apartment, £132,000 for a 40% share of a two-bedroom apartment, £159,250 for a 35% share of a three-bedroom house and £145,000 for a 25% share of a four-bedroom house (these based on full market values of £245,000, £330,000, £455,000 and £580,000 respectively).

New homes coming soon to Canterbury area

Polo FieldMillwood Designer Homes has announced the imminent launch of a brand new development in Littlebourne, a village just east of Canterbury, that will provide a mix of homes to suit a range of requirements and budgets.

Polo Field is a collection of three-, four- and five-bedroom homes, which will combine thoroughly modern layouts and specification inside, with an architecture that respects local styling through the use of reclaimed brickwork and Cape Cod timber cladding. A final bungalow and new luxury homes from Spitfire

Award-winning Spitfire Bespoke Homes is currently offering a wide variety of homes to suit different house-hunters, but some are going to have to move quickly to get the one they want.

At Ashwood, its development in Hockley Heath, Solihull, just one contemporary dormer bungalow remains for sale at its development called Ashwood, located in the West Midlands countryside. This property is currently a show home but the three-bedroom property, with its luxurious specification, is available to buyers for £860,000. Help to Buy available at Gloucestershire development

Twyning GreenNewland Homes is offering buyers at its Twyning Green development, around 11 miles north of Cheltenham, the opportunity to buy one of the four- and five-bedroom homes using the government-backed Help to Buy scheme.

The four-bedroom ‘Winchcombe’ house type start at £560,000, and with a 5% deposit of £28,000 and an equity loan of £112,000 (which would be interest-free for the first five years) would need a mortgage of £420,000. Likewise, a five-bedroom ‘Hanborough’ property, with a full price of £585,000 would need a combined deposit and mortgage of £468,000. These properties all benefit from a double or single garage and a generous driveway parking.

Housebuilder opens the doors to homebuyers in Warwickshire

Taylor Wimpey is inviting buyers to developments where it is opening doors to welcome visitors in person to talk through the properties available and the ways the company can help them get the home they want.

At Flying Fields in Southam in Warwickshire, the first homes are now for sale, with a range of one-, two-, three- and four-bedroom homes starting from £214,995. Anne Wallace, sales and marketing director for Taylor Wimpey Midlands, says: “ I’d encourage anyone interested in securing one of the first properties at Flying Fields, to give the sales executive a call and they will be happy to assist you in finding your new home.”

Coastal homes a hit for Hyde New Homes

New WaveA pair of recently released new homes developments on the coast are proving unsurprisingly popular with buyers in Kent and East Sussex.

Hyde New Homes has launched New Wave in Hove, which provides 18 Shared Ownership apartments located just six minutes from Hove station. The range of one-, two- and three-bedroom properties start at £112,000 for a 40% share (based on a full market value of £280,000).
