Property prices from £364,995

Penrith is a wonderful market town at the very heart of Cumbria. Its located in the Eden Valley which separates the two great landscapes of northern England. With history and heritage at its own heart, Penrith is a delight of independent shops and cobbled streets, caf s and restaurants as well as all the day-to-day facilities that youll need for family life. Its an important economic centre too, for agriculture and tourism, and so its a focal point for the wider area, keeping it a busy and active place to live.

Penrith station is on the West Coast mainline and the town is just off Junction 40 of the M6, so keeping connected with the rest of the country is no problem. However, its the local countryside that will grab your attention its stunning. Ullswater is just 9 miles away with the rest of the Lake District there for days out that you will never tire of.

Transport

Penrith train station - known as 'Penrith North Lakes' - is less than 2 miles away, providing easy access to local destinations such as Lancaster, the Lake District or Carlisle. It's on the West Coast mainline with long distance services too. The fast train can take you to London in approximately 3 hours. There are also regular bus and road links, with the M6 and A66 just a short drive away.

Leisure

Days out and weekends away couldn't be easier either, with local amenities and places of interest nearby such as Rheged, Lakeland Birds of Prey centre and Ullswater Steamers. High above the town, Beacon Hill is great for walking ' and when you reach the top, you'll be rewarded with a magnificent view across the Eden Valley to the Lake District. There are also excellent sports clubs within minutes of Woodberry Heights, such as football, rugby, squash, tennis and golf with a driving range. Our development is on Carleton Hill Road on the outskirts of Penrith. Local shops, caf£s and restaurants can be found nearby, together with leisure activities, schools and markets. There are some lovely independent shops in the cobbled heart of the town.

Education

There's also a great choice of fantastic local schooling in the area, with well-regarded primary and secondary schools within walking distance of the development, including the Queen Elizabeth Grammar School. This is a small town with a very family-friendly feel.
