View home opens in Gloucestershire this weekend

Barratt Homes will be showcasing the flexibility of a modern townhouse in the Bristol area when it opens a view home at its Park Farm development in Thornbury, Gloucestershire, around 12 miles north of the centre of the city.

The four-bedroom ‘Woodbridge’ is unveiled on Saturday March 3. Priced from £339,995, it is a house type that has a quality fitted kitchen, cloakroom and a spacious lounge/dining area with French doors on the ground floor, with two double bedrooms, one single room and a family bathroom on the first floor and a top floor dedicated to the large master bedroom, complete with its own en suite and dressing area.

Barratt sales director Andrea Pilgrim says: “Townhouse living provides tremendous flexibility for people whether they want space to work from home, often have visitors or would love a floor for teenage children. The beauty of three-storey living is that the way rooms are used can alter over the years to accommodate the changing needs of modern families.”

Park Farm has plenty of open space and St Mary’s C of E Primary School – rated ‘outstanding’ by Ofsted – within walking distance. Barratt Homes offers Help to Buy and a number of its own purchase assistance schemes.

Opening to off-plan buyers at 3.00pm on Thursday 8 March, the ‘first come, first served’ event for The Link will take place at Howarth Homes' Head Office, Waterside House, 20 Riverside Way, Uxbridge, UB8 2YF. All properties come ‘home office equipped’ with fibre optic cabling fitted to deliver high-speed internet access, and they all have fully fitted kitchens and stylish bathrooms. There is secure parking and landscaped gardens for residents to use, too.

Linzie Howland, head of sales for Howarth Homes, says: “The Link offers a superb investment opportunity for both owner-occupiers and landlords alike. The anticipated rental yields are high due to the superb Crossrail rail services right on the doorstep. Plus with the new fast London train link due for completion at the end of 2019 and the homes ready early 2020, research shows there is also the potential for a rise in capital value prior to completion.”

Part Exchange offered at Crickhowell development

The GreenHouse-hunters looking for a way to avoid the property chain when buying their brand new home are being offered the option of Part Exchange by Edenstone Homes on selected properties at The Green, a new build site in Crickhowell, Powys.

Located close to the town centre and to the A40, there are two styles of homes available – the ‘Flint’ and the ‘Brecon’, both four-bedroom detached designs, with prices from £415,950. One of the ‘Flint’ homes has been decorated as a show house, giving visitors to the site a chance to see the layout and specification for themselves. Part Exchange mean buyers secure the home they want and the housebuilder acts as a cash buyer for their old home, which is valued independently to ensure a fair price.

Andrea Nippe, sales director for Edenstone Homes, says: “The limited availability at The Green means there’s a real sense of urgency amongst potential purchasers, particularly if they’re yet to sell the property they want to move from or are entangled in a chain.

“The simplest way for those people to be able to secure one of the final properties is with Part Exchange or a chain breaker. What this means is that we will buy the customer’s property so that they can buy a beautiful brand new home from us. Or if they are being held back from moving because of a chain, we may be able to break the chain by buying the property that’s causing the issue. Both schemes are designed to make life easier for our customers so that they can move to a brand new home at the earliest opportunity.”
