Summertime used to be a quiet part of the calendar for us in the new homes industry, but not any more! There are plenty of launches, events and special offers happening right now, and here’s our pick of them taking place across the UK …

 

Two new show homes to open at Sunbury-on-Thames scheme

Fairview New Homes is set to give house-hunters in Surrey not one, but two reasons to visit its Apollo development over the next couple of weekends, with the unveiling of two new show homes, One opens this weekend (12-13 August) and the other the following weekend (19-20 August).

Stamp duty paid weekend with Taylor Wimpey in Harrow

St George's SquareThere’s a special deal at St George’s Square in Harrow this weekend, Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 August (from 10.00am to 5.30pm), as developer Taylor Wimpey offers house-hunters in this part of north London a special stamp duty paid offer on the apartments for sale there.

Jack Costello, regional sales and marketing director for Taylor Wimpey, says: “With stamp duty being paid in full for purchasers of selected apartments at St George’s Square, property-seekers have an excellent opportunity to grab a great deal on a beautiful brand new home. The one- and two-bedroom apartments are currently priced from £350,000 and £465,000 respectively.

Show apartment to open at luxury Hampstead development

Developer Mount Anvil is opening a show home this month at Hampstead Manor, its landmark development mixing converted period homes and sympathetically designed new builds in one of north London’s prime residential suburbs.

Situated on Kidderpore Avenue, in the desirable NW3 postcode, Hampstead Manor has of five heritage conversions in all, with the new two-bedroom show home in a Grade II listed one built in 1905, called Dudin Brown, where interiors experts Design Haus Liberty have based their decoration on the botanical history of the building in its former role as Westfield Women’s College, pioneering in female-only higher education as a branch of the University of London.

New phase of apartments launched at popular Cambridge developments

Trumpington Meadows Local CentreWhatHouse? Award-winning Barratt Homes has unveiled a new collection of 24 apartments at Trumpington Meadows Local Centre, part of its major development of 1,200 homes and a 148-acre country park in the thriving city of Cambridge.

New five-bedroom home released at Moulton development

Avant Homes is appealing to demand among Northamptonshire house-hunters with the unveiling of a five-bedroom house type at its Morisse Fields development in Moulton. The new design is called ‘The Oakham’ and features the company’s distinctive interior specification, including high ceilings, bi-fold doors to the rear garden and chic fitted kitchens.

New shared equity retirement properties for sale in Cheshire

Cheshire Retirement VillageSpecialist developer Inspired Villages has combined with The Bolesworth Estate to release a limited number of shared equity retirement properties at its 48-unit community scheme in Tattenhall, south-east of Chester.

A new show home now open at Midlothian development

CALA Homes, regular winners at the prestigious WhatHouse? Awards, has unveiled a new show home at Eagle’s Green in Broomieknowe, Midlothian, on a site that was once a practice area for the village’s historic golf club.

Broomieknowe Golf Club’s club captain John White and the honorary secretary Rob Beattie were the VIPs who cut the ribbon as the show home was opened to the public. The ‘Elliot’ four-bedroom detached house has many contemporary features and its interiors have been designed by Stirling-based Eileen Kesson of Envision.

Real homes replace virtual reality at Woolwich development

Trinity WalkLovell Homes has launched the first show home at Trinity Walk, just a mile from the new Crossrail station in Woolwich, south-east London. Previously promoted with virtual reality equipment and augmented reality apps from the marketing suite, the show apartment is the first opportunity for potential buyers to see a home at the scheme first-hand. Visitors can still use this technology to visualise the new properties being created at the development.

Jonathan Goring, managing director at Lovell, says: “Although we’ve reached a construction milestone with the show home to view, our VR show home will continue to be incredibly useful; not only for our homebuyers wanting to visualise the development when its complete but also for our sales team who use it as a selling tool to be able to show the different specification choices and layouts of each apartment.”

The two-bedroom show apartment is in Viotti Heights, the first building to be completed at the development, though buyers have a choice of one-, two- and three-bedroom properties with prices starting at £330,000. Help to Buy London is available on all homes priced under £600,000. Three- and four-bedroom townhouses are now available to purchase off-plan from £615,000.
