St James’ Quay, the latest development from multi-award-winning developer Hill, is launching of-plan on Saturday 17 October, a first chance for buyers to find out details about the new riverside homes coming to Norwich.

Located in the heart of the city, St James’ Quay is a collection of 88 impressive apartments and penthouses with panoramic views of the river, Cathedral and the historic city skyline.

The housebuilder’s first development in Norwich is designed to reflect the deep-rooted heritage of the area, with brick facades and fret-cut ironwork paying homage to the Georgian mills and townhouses of its industrial past

The first phase being unveiled includes one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments and two- and three-bedroom penthouses. Each home at St James’ Quay has contemporary interiors and large windows to maximise natural light. Many of the apartments have balconies and expansive wraparound terraces that offer private outdoor space, with views across Norwich and the river. Bespoke kitchens feature high gloss doors and drawers, Caesarstone worktops, energy-efficient appliances and LED feature lighting to wall units. Opulent bathrooms are designed with dark wood detailing, and Hansgrohe taps and showers, with underfloor heating throughout every home.

Selected apartments are offered with the option to purchase a parking space. Communal electric car-charging points are available to meet the demands of the modern homeowner.

St James QuayThe wide choice of home size and budget is expected to attract a host of buyers, such as investors, young professionals, downsizers and first-time buyers.

With a section of the meticulously restored city wall running through the heart of St James’ Quay, there are also shared riverside gardens and the chance to walk along the river to explore the Bishop Bridge, one of the oldest bridges in England, or Pulls Ferry, a 15th-century Watergate, or take a longer walk to Whitlingham Country Park and discover the beautiful 15.5-hectare local nature reserve.

St James’ Quay is a short walk to Norwich train station, the city’s medieval castle, key cultural attractions and famous Norwich Lanes, home to independent boutiques and eateries, as well as Jarrolds, a department store which is a much-loved institution. There is a direct route into town from St James’ Quay, running past many of the iconic buildings in Norwich, including historic Tudor Tombland and the magnificent Cathedral.

Rebecca Littler, group sales and marketing director at Hill, commented: “This is an amazing riverside location full of historic charm, with easy access to a wealth of amenities, transport links and cultural attractions. The city’s leading universities, a growing technology and research sector and some of England’s most sought after and respected primary and secondary schools, make Norwich a hugely attractive place to live.”

Norwich has become a hotspot for large companies, including Aviva, Naked Wines and Barclays, attracting professionals looking to live in a thriving city with strong job opportunities. For those who work outside of the city, Norwich train station is a 15-minute walk from St James’ Quay, where direct trains to London Liverpool Street take less than two hours. Cambridge and Manchester can also be reached directly. The popular coastline and Norfolk Broads are also only a 40-minute journey away, offering the perfect nearby destination for a weekend escape.

A one-bedroom show apartment will be available to view in the riverside marketing suite. Prices for the first release of one-bedroom apartments start from £259,950, and £324,950 for the two-bedroom apartments. The three-bedroom apartments start from £439,950. Help to Buy will be available in 2021.
