Housebuilder Launches Two Essex Developments

Keith OsborneWhatHouse? Housebuilder of the Year Barratt Developments has launched homes in Essex at two sites.
Under its David Wilson Homes brand, there has been a ‘soft launch’ of Riverside Grange in North Fambridge, where house-hunters can choose a home off-plan by arranging an appointment to visit and talk to the team the housebuilder’s Blackwater Reach development in Southminster; just over seven miles away. There’s a choice of three-, four- and five-bedroom properties now available, situated just a stone’s throw away from the River Crouch and one of the prettiest marinas on the Essex coastline. Prices start at £401,995.
There are several benefits to buying off-plan, which means purchasing a property before it has reached building completion, and sometimes before construction has even started.
Homebuyers get the first choice of homes by reserving early and the ability to personalise the property down to the finishing touches, buyers are more in control of their home.
Although it may be a longer period to wait before moving into the property, there is the comfort for first-time buyers of having have extra time to save for extras such as moving fees and furniture before moving in, making the period the property is being built worth the wait and providing a good investment.
Off-plan homes can be beneficial for those with families looking to upsize, as whilst you may have to extend your budget for a bigger home, there are some financial benefits.
With an off-plan purchase, buyers secure the price of their new home before the property is built which means the price of the house may go up over time. This is perfect for those looking to upsize as whilst you extend your budget for a bigger home, you can also see a return from your investment.
Annette Hurst, sales director at David Wilson Homes Eastern Counties, said: “We are delighted to announce that a selection of homes at our Riverside Grange development is now available for keen homebuyers to reserve. Riverside Grange is set in a location that offers residents easy access to Maldon as well as being in close proximity to great local amenities and commuter links.
“We would advise anyone interested in securing their dream home in this growing community to visit our sales advisers at Blackwater Reach and find out more about what’s on offer.”
