Launches, events and special offers at new homes developments across the UK this weekend

With the kids off from school, now is the perfect time for families who want a new home to really explore the properties for sale in their area, and housebuilders have lots of launches and events this weekend to interest homebuyers…

Penthouse apartments in waterside Bristol to launch this weekend

City & Country Group – multiple WhatHouse? Award-winners and a former Housebuilder of the Year – are inviting homebuyers in Bristol to book an appointment to see the penthouses at its exceptional development The General this weekend, 8 and 9 April.

The Iron Foundry is a distinctive, contemporary new build part of the development, next to the listed former hospital being converted into new homes overlooking a marina and the River Avon and just minutes from the city centre.

While the properties in the Victorian building will retain numerous original features as well as a modern interior, The Iron Foundry is thoroughly 21st century, with an eye-catching design and complementary specification throughout. The penthouses have superb views over the water nearby and across some of the city’s best-known landmarks to the countryside beyond.

In all, the development will provide 205 one- to four-bedroom homes on completion, each with secure parking, as well as an arcade of boutique shops and a selection of notable restaurants by the waterside.

Larkfleet Homes joint managing director Helen Hick adds: “Viewing the new show home will enable prospective buyers to see and feel the quality built into each and every Larkfleet home.”

Stewart Jackson MP said: “I am ‘pro housebuilding’ and believe younger people should be able to buy homes which Larkfleet Homes is encouraging with its developments. New show home unveiled at Cheshire village development

PH Homes has opened a new show home at its development The Courtyard, in the village of Henbury, a few miles from Macclesfield and the sought-after residential ‘Golden Triangle’ of Cheshire.

As the name suggests, the new homes are arranged around a traditionally styled courtyard, with the scheme comprising just nine semi-detached and mews houses, with designs inspired by the vernacular style of the established properties of the county.

Danny Gale, sales and marketing director for PH Homes, says: “This marks a significant step for The Courtyard. Prospective buyers may already know that this is one of the best locations in the area. Now, with our new show home, they’ll be able to see just how special the homes themselves will be.”

The new show home is open between 10.00am and 4.00pm each Saturday and Sunday, or can be viewed by appointment.

Help to Buy event this Saturday at Greenwich tower scheme

A developer is hosting a Help to Buy event at its apartment scheme in Greenwich on Saturday 8 April to give buyers looking for a new home in the area a chance to discuss the details of the government-backed assistance scheme with its marketing team.

The scheme is available to first-time buyers and homeowners alike, with a limit of £600,000 on the full market price of the development.

The new homes from Apsley House Capital, at The Arora Tower, offer 180° views along the Thames through floor-to-ceiling windows, with studios and one- and two-bedroom units available. Prices currently start at £395,000, with spa and gym membership included plus room service from the five-star hotel attached to the development.

The Arora Tower is located next to a river taxi station and is a few minutes’ walk from North Greenwich Tube station and Canning Town DLR station.

Work starts on new family homes in Uxbridge

Cameron Group has announced that work has begun on a collection of new build three- and four-bedroom homes in Uxbridge, in the London Borough of Hillingdon, at a gated community of eight properties called Southside Close.

Clive Edwards, sales director at Cameron Group, says: “This exclusive, gated development offers a private oasis just a few moments from the centre of Uxbridge. Unlike a lot of the other developments in the area, Southside Close focuses on privacy and exclusivity, and these large homes will definitely be a popular choice for families looking for a home in a peaceful, attractive residential location.”

Uxbridge is a popular area for those looking to move out of a more central location yet still have convenient links into the City and West End, combined with proximity to Heathrow Airport and the countryside of Berkshire and Buckinghamshire. Hillingdon is one of London’s greenest boroughs and Uxbridge has many leisure facilities and amenities close at hand, as well as good schools.
