A £30,000 saving for local buyers offered by Lovell in Staffordshire

House-hunters with a local connection to Lovell's Scholars Way development in Werrington may be able to save a small fortune on a two-bedroom new home...

Housebuilder Lovell is offering huge savings for buyers at its Scholars Way development in Werrington, close to Stoke-on-Trent, with up to £30,000 off the price of a new home for some purchasers.

Lovell has partnered with Staffordshire Moorlands District Council to provide the offer to house-hunters who live in the Staffordshire Moorlands, or who have strong links to the area, with the massive saving available on just two two-bedroom properties at the development, bringing the price down by 20% to £121,950.

“This is a brilliant opportunity for someone local to Staffordshire Moorlands – or with strong ties to this area – to secure a high-quality brand-new home at Scholars Way,” says Lovell field sales manager Jennie King. “The current offer on our two ‘Denham’ house styles is designed to help people with a genuine need to live locally who would love to buy their own home but are perhaps struggling to afford market prices.”

The ‘Denham’ homes are two of just 31 units that comprise Scholars Way, and are ideal for first-time buyers. These homes have an open-plan living/dining room with French doors to the rear garden and a fully fitted kitchen with integrated hob, oven and fridge-freezer. Upstairs are the family bathroom and two double bedrooms.

This special offer has a few terms and conditions, with one person in the household needing to have been living continuously within the area covered by Staffordshire Moorlands District Council, to have previous residence or upbringing in the area, to have a ‘first line’ family member in the area, needing or providing family support in the area or being employed in the area.

These new homes are set in a village location with open countryside on the doorstep and an excellent choice of local shops and amenities, yet just six miles from the heart of Stoke and eight miles from the M6. A primary school is just a short walk from home, and a secondary school just 1.5 miles away. Within half-an-hour, residents can be in the Peak District National Park, with a 90-minute journey time to the centres of Birmingham and Manchester.

There are currently a mix of two- and three-bedroom homes for sale at Scholars Way, with Help to Buy and Lovell’s own Helping Hands Plus schemes available to help buyers in different circumstances. The marketing suite and show homes are open from Thursday to Sunday, 10.00am to 5.00pm, and Monday from 11.00am to 5.00pm.
