London Square's new Spitalfields development puts buyers in the heart of the trendy East End of London but also offers City workers a walkable commute

London Square has unveiled a collection of 49 new one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments in one of London’s most iconic areas that mixes old traditions with the latest new trends.

London Square Spitalfields is the latest development from the award-winning developer built on Commercial Street in the heart of E1, London’s most fashionable district, close to the city’s coolest bars, restaurants and galleries.

The development, designed by award-winning architectural practice, Platform 5 Architects, features three blocks of private apartments, set around the newly landscaped Mallon Gardens and Grade II listed Toynbee Hall.

The buildings feature stylish brick façades and the development complements the architecture of historically rich Spitalfields – with the Gherkin and the sleek glass towers of the City providing a dramatic backdrop.

The contemporary apartments have been designed to maximise light and each has a private terrace, balcony or garden, in a position that makes the most of the London skyline views or street outlook.

The apartments feature open plan living spaces and large bedroom suites and a daily concierge service is available for residents. All include high specification timber flooring options for the main living area and stylish kitchens featuring appliances Siemens and Seimatic units, sleek bathroom fittings, with Vado showers, good storage and clever lighting. The latest technology and security includes video entry systems and CCTV.

These new apartments in the heart of the changing East End are close to The Culpeper gastropub and close to a range of cocktail bars such as the Boundary and restaurants including the Duck & Waffle, Sushi Samba and Hawksmoor. Brick Lane is also nearby featuring some of London’s best cutty houses.

Old Spitalfields Market is the home of a range of fashionable independent fashion labels. Spitalfields is also renowned for art, with The Whitechapel Gallery, Red Gallery, Signal Gallery and Transition Gallery all calling Spitalfields home.

The location also offers many city workers the chance to walk to work, being just on the edge of the Square Mile and close to the silicon roundabout, East London’s tech hub.

For those needing to commute to other areas, the West End, Victoria, Waterloo and Paddington can all be reached by tube within 20 minutes.

Rebecca Littler, Sales & Marketing Director at London Square, said: “Spitalfields is one of the capital’s most exciting residential areas, with a wealth of critically acclaimed bars, restaurants, art galleries and independent boutiques.

“We expect interest in London Square Spitalfields to come from buyers who can appreciate the appeal of a home in such a culturally rich area, combined with its excellent location, in the centre of one of the world’s most influential cities.”
