New apartments in Wembley should appeal to rugby-mad property hunters

With Ireland taking on Romania in the Rugby World Cup on Sunday (27 September), tens of thousands of fans descending on Wembley Stadium will see the major regeneration taking place around it, including the building of hundreds of new homes.

Developer Quintain is doing most of the residential schemes in the area and the company hopes that its latest phase for sale, the Pienna Apartments at the Alto development, will set a new benchmark for  urban living in HA9. The tower, designed by architects Flanagan Lawrence, will reach up 19 storeys and offer stylish apartments set across a private residents’ water courtyard, with 24-hour concierge and gym.

In all, there will be 133 one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments, all be equipped with state-of-the-art appliances and finished to high specifications, with designer kitchens, bespoke bathrooms and generous living and storage space. Most of the apartments have their own private outdoor space or a balcony that looks onto the residents-only water gardens or across the open spaces of Elvin Square Gardens.

Sports fans may relish the properties on the higher floors, which also have views over the iconic Wembley Stadium arch.

Though it’s in Zone 4, Wembley provides impressively quick transport links into central London, with journey times of12 minutes to Baker Street and 19 minutes to Bond Street from Wembley Park station, which is just a few minutes' walk from Alto. There is also a quick National Rail service into Marylebone from Wembley Stadium station.

Both Heathrow and London City airports can be reached within 45 minutes, while Gatwick, Luton and Stansted airports are at 65, 71 and 77 minutes respectively. The M1, M40 and M25 are also within easy reach and car owners at the Pienna Apartments can buy a secure underground parking space separately.

There are two show apartments now open and an interactive marketing suite. Apartments are priced from £375,000 for one bedroom and £495,000 for two.
