Hinckley is a pleasant market town centrally located, which can offer great value in terms of buying property. Situated between Nuneaton and Leicester, it's a town which has a long and interesting history dating back to Saxon times. Today, tourists are drawn for its picturesque setting and as a centre for touring the lovely, surrounding countryside. One notable attraction worth pointing out in particular is in the nearby village of Market Bosworth where the Battle of Bosworth took place in 1485.

Hinckley itself also been going through a number of renovations in recent years that have seen the addition of a new leisure centre, improvements to the town centre and new housing developments being built. In fact, you may feel spoiled for choice when it comes to buying property in Hinckley. There is every type of home to suit every type of budget from studio apartments and terraced houses to detached new homes. Prices are considered reasonable compared to some other places in the region although Hinckley's consistent growing reputation should see prices rise in the future.

There is a high demand for rented properties which offers excellent opportunities for those looking to buy-to-let, though you could feel many local investors have already snapped up a number of properties. There are new home developments happening around the town that are being built by housebuilders such as Persimmon Homes, Redrow  and David Wilson Homes. Burbage is an area that is especially popular for new houses. Help to Buy is also widely available in this region and offers even better opportunities, especially for first-time buyers.

Perhaps Hinckley's greatest asset is its central location. It's ideally placed for travelling to a number of places such as Nuneaton, Leicester and Coventry. There are also a number of major roads situated around the town including the M1, M69, A47 and A5. The nearest airports are at Birmingham and East Midlands Airport.

Employment in the town revolves around the distribution industry thanks to its location, although the creative industries are a growing presence with many IT and web based businesses becoming established. Hinckley still retains links to its engineering past with the Triumph Motorcycle Company, for example, being based in the town. There are also a number of textile firms in the local area.

Many local schools have received glowing Ofsted reports. For those with growing families, Hinckley should appeal with Burbage Infant and Junior School, Battling Brook Community Primary School and Westfield Infant School justifiably popular. Overall, Hinckley is a place that should be of interest to every house hunter especially first-time buyers.
