What colour should your bedroom be?

The colours you choose to decorate your rooms with can have a huge impact on how you feel when you are at home.

Whether you want the room to be a calm, peaceful space, a romantic haven or a vibrant work of art, the colour scheme and accessories you pick will make all the difference.

Calm and serene

Subtle, neutral colours are key if you want to create a relaxing sanctuary. Nautical shades of blue and white are beautifully complementary, and if you want to stick with a calming nautical theme, mix and match white and blue bed linen and pillows. Ideal if you want to bring mindfulness into your home, keeping your room uncluttered with plenty of hidden storage and simple, streamlined shelves will help you feel relaxed at the end of the day.

Bold and vibrant

Add a daring splash of colour to your bedroom with your favourite bold shade, whether by using colourful pillow cases and bed sheets, striking furniture or even a feature wall. Contrast bold colours with clean, simple whites to really make them stand out.

Rich and romantic

It’s all in the fabric with a romantic bedroom. Soft rich velvets and grey and cream silks will add a touch of luxury to any room. Textured rugs can make for a great centrepiece, along with an impressive lightshade and beautiful ornaments. As with any bedroom design, keeping it tidy and organised can really help to create the perfect bedroom.
