Light up your home this year

WhatHouse? has put together some ideas to help you light up any room in 2016...

Sometimes, you want something a bit different to give your rooms a little extra personality, so whether you prefer huge, statement chandeliers hanging from your ceiling, tall extendable floor lamps or quirky table lights, the way in which you light up your rooms can make all the difference to your home.

Floor lights

For film lovers out there, DelightFULL has some incredible lamps that bear a certain resemblance to some of our favourite Star Wars characters. Perfect for complementing a bright, contemporary living room, the Neil standing floor light reminds us a lot of C3PO.

For the perfect ambience in your dining room, a chandelier creates a beautiful, luxurious effect. A large chandelier hung directly above your dining table will bathe the whole room in a soft glow and make any dinner party a special event.

Table lamps

If you love curling up on the sofa and reading, then having a lovely table lamp is essential. You don’t want to be squinting to read the pages, but you don’t need something that will flood the whole room. A small table lamp will create that perfect glow.

Letter lights

To give your home a really personal feel, why not spell out your name? Graphic letter lights can add a splash of colour to a room. If you live with a few people, how about get your initials and display them on a shelf, a really fun way to make your house a home.
