About Kingfisher Grange

We have received planning consent for a new residential development on land to the west of Hamble Lane, Bursledon.

The site which we are proposing to develop covers an area of approximately 13 acres and is outlined in red on the map pictured right.

Our proposals are for 150 high-quality homes, including 35% affordable housing for local people in housing need. Additionally, our scheme includes the provision of public open space, including a children's play area, with the development to be accessed from the existing Jurd Way roundabout.

Our scheme was developed following a public consultation in July 2012, when we presented initial proposals for the development and gave local residents and key stakeholders the opportunities to comment on the plans.

Although our initial planning application was refused by the local authority, we received outline planning consent in April 2014 after a successful appeal to the independent Planning Inspector.

Following the outline planning consent, we submitted a 'Reserved Matters' planning application in August 2015. This has just been approved, and we hope to start on site in the next few months.
