About the Development

Just 40 miles and 48 minutes by train from Central London, and even closer to the Bohemian boutiques and beaches of Brighton, you’re never far from the action at Haywards Heath. Yet at the same time, you’ll enjoy a delightful Sussex location, close to the Weald, the South Downs and the Ouse Valley, with none of the city stress.

Add in a choice of Ofsted ‘Good’ rated schools, and great local shops and entertainment, and you have the ideal location to set up home and raise a family.

Amenities

There is a Sainsbury’s supermarket and a post office less than a mile away in the town centre and a Waitrose store is in Haywards Heath (by the station)
For doctors, register with Newtons Practice on Heath Road (Sat Nav RH16 3BB, call 01444 412280). There are also a number of dentist surgeries in the town, including Gresham Dental Practice on Butlers Green Road (Sat nav RH16 4AH, call 01444 455171).

Dining

The dining choice in and around Haywards Heath is split between restaurants in the town centre and popular gastro pubs in the surrounding villages. Try Limes Bistro, Jeremey’s at Borde Hill, Paolino (Italian), the Curry Inn, La Campana (Spanish) or the Lemongrass (Thai) in town, all of which are highly recommended, or visit the Crown at Horsted Keynes, The Witch at Lindfield or the Coach and Horses for a fine pint and a good meal.

Education

Haywards Heath has a fine selection of schools, all rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted, including Harland Primary, which is within easy walking distance of the development.

Primary school alternatives include St Joseph’s Catholic Primary and St Wilfrid’s CofE primary, as well as Warden Park Primary Academy and Bolnore Village Primary. Older children can choose between Warden Park Academy and Oathall Community College. For independent education, Great Walstead School and Burgess Hill School for Girls are all highly rated.

Leisure

For a small town, Haywards Heath has excellent facilities, with two golf courses and two leisure centres. Play a round at Haywards Heath or Paxhill Park golf courses, or enjoy a range of other sports, take a swim or work out in the gym at The Dolphin Leisure Centre or Clair Hall.
Clair Hall is also home to a theatre and cinema, where you’ll find selected film showings, touring shows and local productions. There is an even wider choice of screenings at The Orion, at Burgess Hill.
The town is also surrounded by stunning countryside, with the Ouse Valley a popular place to visit, and the seaside attractions of Brighton, Eastbourne and Hastings all within easy reach.

Shopping

Haywards Heath shopping is focused on the Orchards Shopping Centre, which is currently undergoing a multi-million pound facelift to deliver a state of the art modern shopping experience. The centre is home to a range of big names such as M&S, Next and Boots.
Nearby Crawley has the County Mall, while Horsham hosts Swan Walk Shopping Centre. Take a trip to Brighton, just quarter of an hour away by train, and you’ll find not only Churchill Square shopping centre, but also a fascinating range of quirky independent shops that match the town’s Bohemian vibe.
