About the Development

The next chapter in Redrow’s ground-breaking Garden Village programme brings this innovative way of living to the East Midlands. Newton Garden Village, on the historic site of the Newton RAF base, will not only provide high quality two, three, four and five-bedroom homes near Nottingham, it will also create its own self-contained community, with a brand new primary school and a lively village centre.
Located just eight miles from the city, and with direct access to the popular market town of Bingham via a brand new bridge over the A46, Newton Garden Village could not be better placed. Add in outstanding local schools and superb commuter connections by road and rail and you have the perfect place for your family to live and thrive.
Coming soon, subject to planning, you can reserve your place in Newton Garden Village for just 5% deposit with Help to Buy and Redrow could Help to Sell your old home too.

Amenities

There is a choice of supermarkets in nearby Bingham, including Aldi, Lidl and Waitrose, with Morrisons and Asda available on the edge of the city at West Bridgford.
For GPs, register with East Bridgford Medical Centre on Butt Lane (Sat Nav NG13 8NY, call 01949 20216) while there is a choice of dentists in Bingham including Cromwell Dental Practice on Long Acre (Sat Nav NG13 8AG, call 01949 831942)

Dining

There are a host of friendly gastro pubs and restaurants in the towns and villages around Newton, with something to suit every taste and budget. From the Royal Oak pub and Indian Nights restaurant in East Bridgford to the White Lion, the Butter Cross and the Wheatsheaf Inn in Bingham, there’s always somewhere new to try or an old favourite to revisit.
Naturally, Nottingham has a huge choice of eateries, from friendly family chains to fine dining and international cuisine. For that special occasion, book well in advance for the Restaurant Sat Bains, which holds not one, but two Michelin Stars.

Education

The quality of local schools is always a key factor when Redrow choose a site, but with Newton Garden Village, we’ve really struck gold. The development will eventually have its own primary school, but until that is complete, there are some superb local options available. St Peter’s CofE Primary is rated ‘outstanding’ by Ofsted, while Bingham Robert Miles Infants and Juniors are rated ‘good’.
Older pupils are even better served, with Toot Hill School in Bingham not only rated as ‘outstanding’, but also placed in the top 2% in England, while South Nottinghamshire Academy in nearby Radcliffe on Trent is rated ‘good’.
For stay at home students, the universities in Nottingham, Derby, Loughborough and Leicester are all commutable, saving on high hall fees.

Leisure

There’s lots going on locally without needing to go into the city, with a choice of golf clubs, including Radcliffe on Trent GC, the pool and sports facilities of Bingham Leisure Centre and the countless sports clubs and societies in the town. Venture into Nottingham and you’ll find even more choice, with everything from test cricket at Trent Bridge to Championship football at Nottingham Forest Football Club. The National Watersports Centre is located at Holme Pierrepoint, where you’ll also find a popular mini golf course and a classic country house, Holme Pierrepoint Hall, among the 270 acres of country park.
The city has plenty to offer for evening entertainment too, with multi-screen cinemas, concerts and shows at the Motorpoint Arena and a thriving nightlife of music venues, theatres, restaurants and bars.

Shopping

Nearby Bingham is a thriving market town with lots to offer for local shoppers, including a regular market every Thursday in the historic Buttercross Market Square and a farmers’ market on the third Saturday of every month.
Towards Nottingham, you’ll find the convenience of out-of-town shopping at Victoria Retail Park, where you’ll find the likes of Argos, Halfords, Next and TK Max. Head into the city and you’ll be spoiled for choice, with a large pedestrianised shopping area based around the impressive Intu Victoria Centre.

Transport

Located just off the A46, and within easy reach of the A52 and the M1 beyond, Newton enjoys excellent commuter links, both into the city of Nottingham and across the East Midlands. Nottingham is around 7miles, Newark is 13miles, Melton Mowbray is 18miles and Loughborough is 21miles. Derby (38miles) and Leicester (27miles) are also within easy reach. Locally, the bustling market town of Bingham and the charming village of East Bridgford are both just a few minutes’ drive away.
Bingham Station has regular services to Nottingham, with a journey time of just 15minutes. From there you can access services to London in an hour and forty minutes. Bingham also offers services to Grantham in 25minutes and Skegness in around two hours.
East Midlands Airport is just 20miles away, offering flights worldwide for holidays, weekend city breaks and international business trips.
