About the Development

Daresbury Garden Village represents everything that is so great about Redrow homes. You’ll enjoy excellent commuter connections, outstanding local schools and all the employment opportunities of Daresbury Science Park right on your doorstep, yet still enjoy a delightful Cheshire location surrounded by open countryside. It delivers the very best of both worlds, just like our superb Heritage Collection homes, which combine Arts and Crafts inspired architecture with modern family friendly interiors.

These three, four and five bedroom family homes near Stockton Heath will form part of a brand new development, complete with its own village centre with shops and community facilities. There is bound to be huge demand such well located homes, so register your interest today and be the first to know the news as the project progresses. Secure your brand new home with Help to Sell we could help sell your old one for you too.

Amenities

The development will ultimately have its own selection of shops, but meanwhile you’ll find a Morrisons in Stockton Heath and a large Asda store in nearby Runcorn. Closer to home there is a CoOp convenience store in Windmill Hill. Hollies Farm Shop in Lower Stretton offers a wide range of produce fresh from the fields.

For Doctors, register with Stretton Medical Centre (Sat Nav WA4 4NE, call 01925 599856) while dentists can be found at The Dental Academy on Chester Road in Daresbury (Sat Nav WA4 5LR, call 01925 740510).

Dining

The Dormouse Tearooms are a must for any Lewis Carroll fan, and is top rated on Trip Advisor. For an evening of fine dining, Stockton Heath is hard to beat, with a string of excellent restaurants stretching through the town, including
the Asian flavours of Cardamon, the exotic Japanese tastes of Wasabi Teppan-Yaki and the home grown British tastes of Heaths 26. Eastern Revive, Pan Y Vino, Olive Tree Brasserie and the national fine dining chain, Bistro Pierre and Piccolinos are also highly recommended.

Education

We always try to build our homes near great schools, but Daresbury Garden Village surpasses even our high standards, with outstanding schools from year one right through to sixth form all within easy reach. Daresbury Primary is rated ‘outstanding’ by Ofsted, while the alternative Moore Primary is rated ‘good with outstanding behaviour’.

For older children, Bridgewater High School is rated ‘outstanding’, while Sandymoor Secondary School is rated ‘good with outstanding leadership’.

Leisure

As the birthplace of Alice in Wonderland creator, Lewis Carroll, Daresbury has a fascinating history to explore. You can also step back in time at the ancient Norton Priory or the magnificent Arley Hall and Gardens.

For more modern entertainment, head for the Odeon in Warrington, or you can see films on the biggest screen of all at the IMAX at Cheshire Oaks. The Brindley in Runcorn and Warrington’s famous Parr Hall both host a variety of live events throughout the year.

For more active entertainment, head for the many facilities of Brookvale Recreation Centre, or take on the challenge of Walton Hall or Warrington Golf Courses, both just a short drive away. For something completely different, head to the Trafford Centre, just along the motorway, where you can try everything from dry slope skiing to indoor skydiving.

Shopping

You’ll be spoiled for choice when it comes to shopping destinations, with both Warrington and Runcorn just a short drive or bus ride away. Runcorn is home to Shopping City, with over 65 stores, while Warrington hosts the Golden Square Shopping Centre, with 135 stores and Cockhedge Shopping Park with a further 32 outlets.

If that’s not enough, the famous Trafford Centre, Liverpool One and the historic Rows of Chester are all just half an hour away by train, or you can hop on the M56 and reach the endless designer bargains of Cheshire Oaks in around twenty minutes.

Transport

Midway between Runcorn and Warrington, with both Liverpool and Manchester easily commutable, you couldn’t be better placed at Daresbury. The M56 junction 11 is just 2 miles away linking to Manchester and the M6 in one direction and speeding you swiftly to Chester in the other. Runcorn is 4miles, Warrington 5miles, Liverpool and Chester 18miles and Manchester 26miles.

Trains from nearby Warrington Quay Railway Station reach Manchester or Liverpool in under half an hour, and London in just an hour and fifty minutes, while trains from Runcorn reach Liverpool in as little as 19 minutes. If you are heading further afield, both Speke Airport and Manchester International Airport are just 15minutes away by road.
