Famous for its mills and distinct character, Framlingham is a market town of Anglo-Saxon origin in the coastal district of Suffolk. Rich in history and with a close-knit community, the town is a Conservation Area with some 74 listed buildings, including its very own medieval castle.

Living at Persimmon Grange means you can enjoy all that this family-friendly town has to offer, including a summer arts festival called -Arts Framlingham-; a traditional annual Gala weekend; superb local schooling and plenty of amenities close to hand. Framlingham boasts a number of independent shops for gifts, fashions and antiques; a market selling great local produce, wares and collectibles; supermarkets; a library; doctors- surgery; Post Office; chemist; as well as a mouth-watering selection of pubs, cafes, tea shops and restaurants.

The area surrounding the 12th century Framlingham Castle is breathtaking and considered to be the best view in inland Suffolk. Framlingham Mere, a natural haven full of wildlife, wraps around the castle and is surrounded by meadows. These views are even better once you walk the castle's curtain-wall, which is still well preserved today. Families can enjoy an audio commentary around the castle, explore its 13 impressive towers, or visit the exhibition, shop and Lanman local history museum.

Enjoy getting out and about?

For those who love the outdoors, there are plenty of wonderful walks to be enjoyed around Framlingham. What-s more, the Town Council has produced some helpful walking guides, mapping many different routes, from a short 2-mile Castle Walk, to an 11-mile circular route with rewarding vistas.

Framlingham has a fantastic range of leisure facilities. With its 16-acres of sports land, the long-established Framlingham Sports Club provides first class sporting facilities and supports tennis, football, running, archery, croquet, badminton and ladies hockey.

If you-re a family with children, you-ll be pleased to know there are a number of highly regarded schools in the town. Framlingham has a firmly established reputation for education, from preschool and nursery teaching to secondary education, sixth form studies and adult learning. Schools include Sir Robert Hitcham-s Primary School; Thomas Mills High School, which is rated -Outstanding- by Oftsed; and Framlingham College, an independent boarding and day school for children aged 13-18.

With its friendly town community, superb schooling and beautiful countryside, Persimmon Grange will make a fantastic place to set up home.
